use

metric

tions
on

buttonhole
foot

buttonholes
exactly

same
length.

Tack:
Turn
the
pattern

ector
knob
to
1o
for
bar
tack
and
sew
about
5-6
stitches
on
the
marking
as
shown
opposite.
Then
stop
the
machine
with
the
needle
raised
out
of
work.
Side
Stitching:
Turn
the
pattern
seleclor
knob
toUaard
sew
satill
stitch
for
the
right
side
stitching
until
it
catches
the
first
bar
tack.
Corded
buttonholes
To
reinforce
buttonholes
the
following
method
is
recommend-
ed:
Take
some
heavy
thread,
such
as
buttonhole
twist
or
extra
strong
th
read.
Hook
tile
thread
on
the
protru-
sion
and
sew
in
the
same
way
as
ordinary
buitonholes.
