Thread
Hold
the
end
of
the
upper
thread
with
your
left
hand.
Turn
the
hand
wheel
towards
you
slowly
until
the
needle
and
the
take-up
lever
move
down
and
up
again,
then
stop
the
hand
wheel.
Pull
the
upper
thread
slowly
so
that
the
lower
thread
will
be
brought
up
in
a
loop.
You
should
never
pull
the
upper
thread
too hard
as
this
may
bend
the
needle.
Pull
both
ends
of
the
threads
out
about
15cm
from
under
the
foot
and
place
them
either
to
the
left
or
right
of
the
presser
foot
as
shown.
The
old
fashion
method
used by
most
machine
sewers
for
many
years who
have
been
taught
to
place
the
threads
behind
the
presser
foot,
has
been
found
to
be
incorrect,
as
this
has
caused
most
of
the
machine
jamming
problems
of
the
past.
REMEMBER
ALWAYS
PLACE
THE
THREADS
EITHER
TO
THE
LEFT
OR
RIGHT
NEVER
BEHIND
THE
FOOT

Cutter
On
the
back
of
the
presser
bar
you
will
find
the
thread
cutter.
This
cutter
makes
it
easy
to
cut
off
the
thread
at
the
end
of
a
seam.
