A Quick Easy Batter for
Deep Frying
Beer Batter
Ingredients
140g our
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
55ml vegetable oil

100ml beer
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Method
1. Mix the dry ingredients (our, baking
powder and salt) together in a bowl using
a fork.
2. 2. Beat the egg, milk and oil together in a
separate bowl.
3. 3. Stir the beaten ingredients into the our
mixture until well blended.
4. 4. Prepare the food you are frying. Ensure
frozen foods are entirely thawed. Dry food
completely before dipping into the batter.
5. 5. Dip your prepared food into batter and
coat.
6. 6. Fry using the reference table on page 9
to guide you.
Suggested foods: Slices of zucchini, chicken
pieces (partially cooked), shrimp, sh
