Press the √ button to select Stop (recording stop
time).
• Press the œ or √ button to select the hour or
minute.
• Press the … or † button to set the stop time.

speed).

recording speed.

• Auto Tape Speed Select
The DVD-VCR’s “Auto Tape Speed Select”
function compares the duration of the timer
recording to the actual recording time remaining
on the tape loaded. If there is insufficient tape
to complete a timer recording in Auto mode,
the DVD-VCR automatically switches to LP
mode to record the whole programme.

Press the √ button to select V/P (recording
VPS/PDC).
• Press the … or † button to select On or Off.

PDC (Programme Delivery Control System)
Depending on TV stations, VPS/PDC signals are
transmitted with TV programmes. The VCR can
control the timer recording start and end times by the
VPS/PDC signals to assure the recording of a whole
programme, covering any changes in the published
broadcast time, that is, time shift, extension or
interruption of the programme. lf the TV programme
is interrupted, during the VPS/PDC controlled timer
recording,the recording will be automatically
interrupted and resumed when the programme
continues.
Important: The VPS/PDC function only works when
the VPS/PDC signal is transmitted with the TV
programme to be recorded. If the broadcasting
station does not transmit the VPS/PDC signal, the
timer recording will be done in the normal mode
even if it was programmed in the VPS/PDC mode.

When you have finished, press the MENU button
to exit the menu.

Press the ON/STANDBY button to activate the
timer.
Before starting recording, the DVD-VCR compares
the timer duration with the remaining time on the
cassette.
• Press the ON/STANDBY button to stop Timer
programming recording.
