Cause
zThe power cord is disconnected

Correction
zPlug the power cord into the wall outlet
securely.
zRefer to page 6.
zInsert a disc or tape. (Check that the
disc or tape indicator in the display
window is lit.)
zSelect the appropriate video input mode
on the TV so the picture from the
DVD+VCR player appears on the TV
screen.
zConnect the video cable into the jacks
securely.
zSet Progressive Scan to Off
(see page 19).
zSelect the correct input mode of the
audio receiver so you can listen to the
sound from the DVD+VCR player.
zConnect the audio cable into the jacks
securely.
zTurn on the equipment connected with
the audio cable.
zSet the Digital Audio Output to the
correct position, then turn on the
DVD+VCR player again by pressing
++//11.
zClean the disc.
zCheck tuning, carry out tuning again.
zClean video heads.
zUse PR/TRK (+/-) for manual tracking
adjustment while tape is playing.
zMake sure that your TV can support
625p Progressive scan picture or set
Progressive scan to off.
zInsert a playable disc. (Check the disc
type and Regional code.)
zPlace the disc with the playback side
down.
zPlace the disc on the disc tray correctly
inside the guide.
zClean the disc.
zCancel the Rating function or change
the rating level.
zEject the tape in.
zSelect STEREO by repeatedly pressing
AUDIO on the remote control.
zMake sure NICAM in the menu is set to
AUTO for the station to be recorded.
