64-bits computergebruik
Bepaalde 32-bits apparaatstuurprogramma's en/of toepassingen zijn
mogelijk niet compatibel met 64-bits processors/besturingssystemen en
werken daarom niet correct.
Hoofdgeheugen
Een deel van het hoofdsysteemgeheugen kan door het grafische systeem
worden gebruikt om de grafische prestaties te verbeteren, waardoor de
beschikbare hoeveelheid systeemgeheugen voor andere
computeractiviteiten afneemt. De hoeveelheid systeemgeheugen die wordt
toegewezen om de grafische prestaties te verbeteren, hangt af van het
grafische systeem, de gebruikte toepassingen, de grootte van het
systeemgeheugen en andere factoren.
Als uw computer is geconfigureerd met meer dan 3 GB, kan de
geheugencapaciteit worden weergegeven als slechts circa 3 GB
(afhankelijk van de hardwarespecificaties van de computer).
Dit is correct aangezien het besturingssysteem gewoonlijk de beschikbare
hoeveelheid geheugen weergeeft in plaats van de hoeveelheid fysiek
geheugen (RAM) die in de computer is ingebouwd.
Diverse systeemcomponenten (zoals de GPU van de grafische kaart en
PCI-apparaten zoals draadloos LAN) vereisen hun eigen geheugenruimte.
Aangezien een 32-bits besturingssysteem niet meer dan 4 GB geheugen
kan adresseren, overlappen deze systeembronnen het fysieke geheugen.
Het is een technische beperking dat het overlappende geheugen niet
beschikbaar is voor het besturingssysteem. Hoewel sommige
hulpprogramma's de daadwerkelijke hoeveelheid fysiek geheugen in de
computer kunnen weergeven, is er nog steeds slechts circa 3 GB
geheugen beschikbaar voor het besturingssysteem.
Computers die met een 64-bits besturingssysteem zijn geconfigureerd,
hebben toegang tot maximaal 4 GB systeemgeheugen.
Gebruiksduur van de accu
De gebruiksduur van de accu varieert sterk al naar gelang factoren zoals
productmodel, configuratie, toepassingen, energiebeheerinstellingen en
gebruikte functies. Bovendien is de gebruiksduur onderhevig aan de
natuurlijke prestatievariaties die voortvloeien uit het ontwerp van
afzonderlijke onderdelen. Bepaalde modellen en configuraties die door
TOSHIBA vóór het tijdstip van publicatie zijn getest, worden geleverd met
