optional device in the printer driver.
To open the [Device Settings] tab, you must access the printer driver properties from the [Devices and Printers] folder.
Updating optional devices automatically
When SNMP communication between this equipment and your computer is enabled, you can retrieve configuration
information by clicking [Update Now] on the [Device Settings] tab. Select [Update Automatically] to update the
configuration information automatically when you open the [Device Settings] tab. You cannot make settings if you
display the printer driver properties from the application’s [Print] dialog box.
Setting optional devices manually
If SNMP communication between this equipment and your computer is not available:
You need to log in to Windows as an Administrator.
1
Click [Start] and select [Settings] > [Devices] > [Devices and printers].
The Printers folder appears.
For Windows Server 2012, right-click in the lower left of the screen, then click [Control Panel] > [View devices and
printers].
2
Right-click the printer driver of this equipment and select [Printer properties] from the displayed
menu.
