1 Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Topcom Twintalker. It’s a low powered radio communication

device that has no running costs other than the minimal cost of re-charging the batteries.

The TwinTalker operates on Private Mobile Radio frequencies and can be used in any

country where the service is authorised as indicated on the packing box and in this manual.

2 Intended purpose

It can be used for different professional as well as for recreational purposes. For example: to

keep in contact during travelling with 2 or more cars, biking, skiing. It can be used to keep in

contact with your children when they are playing outside, etc...

3 CE Mark and restrictions

The CE symbol on the unit, user guide and giftbox indicates that the unit complies with the

essential requirements of the R&TTE directive 1995/5/EC.

The (!) symbol next to the CE mark, indicated that the PMR standard is not allowed in all

European countries.

PMR is allowed in the next countries:

Belgium, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain, Italy, Portugal,

Greece, Czech, Luxemburg, Hungary, Slovakia, Suisse, France, UK, Ireland, Austria, Poland

4 Safety instructions

4.1 General

Please read carefully through the following information concerning safety and proper use.

Make yourself familiar with all functions of the device. Keep this manual on a safe place for

future use.

4.2 Burning injuries

• If the cover of the antenna is damaged, do not touch because when an antenna comes

in contact with the skin, a minor burn may result when transmitting.

• Batteries can cause property damage such as burns if conductive material such as

jewellery, keys or beaded chains touches exposed terminals.The material may complete

an electrical circuit (short circuit) and become quite hot. Exercise care in handling any

charged battery, particularly when placing it inside a pocket, purse or other container

with metal objects.

Restriction:

Check the local regulations before using it outside the country

where it was purchased. The standard may be prohibited in this

country.

4.3 Personal safety

• Do not place your device in the area over an air bag or in the air bag deployment area.

Air bags inflate with great force. If a communicator is placed in the bag deployment area

and the air bag inflates, the communicator may be propelled with great force and cause

serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle.

• Keep the radio at least 15 centimetres away from a pacemaker.

• Turn your radio OFF as soon as interference is taking place with medical equipment.

• Do not replace batteries in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Contact sparking may

occur while installing or removing batteries and cause an explosion.

• Turn your communicator off when in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere.

Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even

death.

• Never throw batteries in fire as they may explode.

4.4 Poisoning danger

• Keep batteries away from small children

4.5 Legal

• In some countries it is prohibited to use your PMR while driving a vehicle. In this case

leave the road before using the device.

• Turn your unit OFF when on board an aircraft when instructed to do so. Any use of the

unit must be in accordance with airline regulations or crew instructions.

• Turn your unit OFF in any facilities where posted notices instruct you to do so. Hospitals

or health care facilities may be using equipment that is sensitive to external RF energy.

• Replacing or modifying the antenna may affect the PMR radio specifications and violate

the CE regulations. Unauthorised antennas could also damage the radio.

4.6 Notes

• Do not touch the antenna while transmitting, it could affect the range.

• Remove the battery if the device is not going to be used for a long period.

Areas with potentially explosive atmospheres are often, but not

always, clearly marked. They include fuelling areas such as

below deck on boats, fuel or chemical transfer or storage

facilities; areas where the air contains chemicals or particles,

such as grain, dust or metal powders; and any other area where

you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.

5 Cleaning and maintenance

• To clean the unit, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water. Don’t use a cleaner or

solvents on the unit; they can damage the case and leak inside, causing permanent

damage.

• Battery contacts may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth.

• If the unit gets wet, turn it off and remove the batteries immediately. Dry the battery

compartment with a soft cloth to minimize potential water damage. Leave the cover off

the battery compartment overnight or until completely dry. Do not use the unit until

completely dry.

6 Disposal of the device

At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the

normal household garbage but bring the product to a collection point for the

recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product,

user guide and/or box indicate this.

Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling

point. By re-using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important

contribution to the protection of the environment.

Please contact your local authorities in case you need more information on the collection

points in your area.

7 Using a PMR device

To communicate between PMR devices they need to be set all on the same channel and

within receiving range (up to max. 6 km in open field). Since these devices use free frequency

bands (channels), all devices in operation share these channels(total 8 channels). Therefore,

privacy is not garanteed. Anybody with a PMR set to your channel can overhear the

conversation. If you want to communicate (transmitting a voice signal) you need to press the

-button.

Once this button pressed, the device will go into transmit mode and you can speak into the

microphone. All other PMR devices in range , on the same channel and in standby mode (not

transmitting) will hear your message. You need to wait until the other party stops transmitting

before you can reply to the message. At the end of each transmission the unit will send a

beep. To reply, just press the -button and speak into the microphone.

If 2 or more users press the - button at the same time the

receiver will receive only the stongest signal and the other signal

(s) will be supressed. Therefore you should only transmit a

signal (press - button) when the channel is free.

8 Getting started

8.1 Removing/Installing the Belt Clip

1. To remove the clip from the unit, push the belt

clip (B) towards the antenna, while pulling the

clip tab (A).

2. When re-installing the belt clip, a click indicates

the belt clip is locked into position.

8.2 Battery Installation

1. Remove the belt clip (§ 8.1).

2. Open the locking latch (C) and slide off the

battery cover.

3. Install the rechargeable battery pack following

the polarity as shown. Ensure that the metal

contacts on the side (D) are facing outwards

from the radio to connect on the battery door.

4. Re-install the Battery Cover and Belt Clip (§

8.1).

9 Charging batteries

When battery packs are installed, the desktop charger provides drop-in charging

conveniency

1. Put the desktop charger on a flat

surface.

2. Plug one end of the supplied

adapter into the electric socket

and the other end into the

connector on the backside of the

desktop charger.

3. Put the radio in the charger as

indicated.

4. The charging LED will turn on if

it’s properly inserted and

charging.

It will take about 8 to 10 hours to fully charge the batteries

Do not short-circuit & dispose of in fire. Remove the batteries if this

device is not going to be used for a long period.

12 Battery Charge Level/Low Battery Indication

The BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL is indicated by the number of squares present inside the

BATTERY icon on the LCD Screen.

Battery 1/3 charged

When the BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL is low, the BATTERY icon will flash to indicate that

the batteries need to be replaced or recharged.

13 Using the Twintalker 9000

13.1 Clock functions

When the battery is installed and the unit is OFF, the time is displayed.

13.1.1 Setting the time

In power OFF mode:

• Press and hold for 5 seconds, the hour flashes.

• Press or to change the hour.

• Press to confirm, the minutes flashes.

• Press or to change the minutes.

• Press and hold for 5 seconds to confirm the setting

13.1.2 Stopwatch

• Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter stopwatch mode

• Press to start counting

• Press to stop counting

• Press to reset the timer

• Press and hold for 3 seconds to exit stopwatch mode

The time will be reset to 12:00 when the battery is removed.

13.2 Turning the Unit ON/OFF

• To activate; press and hold . The unit will “beep” and the LCD Screen will display the

current channel, CTCSS code and time.

• To switch off; press and hold again. The unit will “beep” and only the time is

displayed.

13.3 Adjusting Speaker Volume

The Speaker Volume can be adjusted using and . The Speaker Volume

level is displayed on the LCD.

13.4 Receiving a Signal

The unit is continuously in the RECEIVE mode when the unit is ON and not

transmitting. When you receive a signal on the current channel, the RX icon is

displayed.

13.5 Transmitting a Signal

• Press and hold to TRANSMIT.

• Hold the unit in a vertical position with the MICROPHONE 10 cm from the

mouth and speak into the microphone.

• Release when you have finished transmitting.

13.6 Changing Channels

The PMR has 8 available channels.

To change channels:

• Press once, the current channel number flashes on the LCD Screen.

• Press or to change the channel.

• Press to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode.

• To confirm and shift to the next option, press .

NOTE: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the

conversation, also when the other use a CTCSS code.

In order for other people to receive your transmission, they

must be set on the same channel and CTCSS code

13.7 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System)

The 2 digit CTCSS code corresponds to a specific tone frequency the radio emits. Two users,

with the same channel and CTCSS set can hear one another.They will not be able to hear

anyone else on the channel unless the other radios have the same exact CTCSS code

enabled.

The PMR has 38 CTCSS codes available.

• Press twice, the CTCSS code will flash

• Press or to select another code.

• Press to confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode.

• To confirm and shift to the next option, press .

NOTE: Any PMR set on the same channel can receive and listen to the

conversation, also when the other use a CTCSS code.

13.8 Monitor

You can use the MONITOR feature to check for weaker signals in the current channel.

• Press and simultaneous to activate channel monitoring. Hold these buttons for 3

seconds for contiuous monitoring.

• Press to stop monitoring

13.9 VOX Selection

The PMR is capable of voice activated (VOX) transmission. In VOX mode, the radio will

transmit a signal when it is activated by your voice or other sound around you. VOX operation

is not recommended If you plan to use your radio in a noisy or windy environment.

• Press 3 times.

• Press to turn the VOX feature ON and press again to select the

VOX sensitivity level which is indicated in the right corner of the display.

Press until OF appears on the display, to turn VOX OFF.

• In the VOX mode, the VOX icon will be displayed.

• To confirm your selection and return to the NORMAL mode, press .

13.10 Channel Scan

CHANNEL SCAN performs searches for active signals in an endless loop from channel 1 to

• Press and hold . Press briefly to start scanning.

• Release the buttons.

• When an active signal (one of 8 channels) is detected, CHANNEL SCAN

pauses and you will hear the active signal.

• Press to communicate through the active signal channel. Press to

deactivate channel scan.

When an active signal (one of 8 channels) is detected, press or to bypass the current

channel and continue to search for another active channel

13.11 Call Tones

A call tone alerts others that you want to talk.

a. Setting the Call Tone

5 different Call Tones can be selected.

• Press 4 times. CA will be displayed.

• Press or to select another call tone or select OF to enable call

tones.

• Press to confirm your selection and return to the standby mode.

b. Sending a call Tone

Press briefly. The call tone will be transmitted for 3 seconds on the set channel.

13.12 Roger Beep On/Off

After the - button is released, the unit will send out a roger beep to confirm that you have

stopped talking.

To set the Roger Beep.

• Press 5 times. ‘ro’ will be displayed.

• Press to enable (ON) or disable the Roger-Beep (OF).

• Press to confirm your selection and return to the standby mode.

13.13 Key-Tone On/Off

When a button is pressed, the unit will beep briefly.

To set the key-tone.

• Press 6 times. ‘to’ will be displayed.

• Press to enable (ON) or disable the Roger-beep (OF).

• Press to confirm your selection and return to the standby mode.

13.14 Dual Channel Monitor function

In stand-by, the PMR is set on one set channel with CTCSS code. The PMR will only receive

signals transmitted on that channel and CTCSS code.

Dual Channel Monitor allows you to monitor a second channel with CTCSS code.

• Press 7 times, DCM OFF appears on the display.

• Press or to change the channel.

• Press to confirm the channel selection and go to CTCSS

SUB-CHANNEL SELECTION

• Press or to change the CTCSS.

• Press to confirm.

To disable the function select ‘OFF’ when setting the channel.

When the Dual Channel Monitor function is activated, the PMR will switch sequentially

between the standby channel + CTCSS and the Dual Channel + CTCSS.

13.15 Button Lock

• Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the BUTTON

LOCK mode. The BUTTON LOCK icon is displayed on the LCD Screen.

• Press and hold again to deactivate BUTTON LOCK

13.16 Headset connection

The Twintalker 9000 can be used with an optional external microphone and speaker (not

included)

The connector is located under the protective rubber cover on the right side of the unit. To

attach the external speaker/microphone headsets or earpiece, lift the rubber flap on the top

of the unit to expose the connector.

Insert the appropriate plug into the connector.

15 Warranty

15.1 Warranty period

Topcom units have a 36-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the

new unit is purchased. Consumables or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or

value of the equipment are not covered.

The warranty has to be proven by presentation of a copy of the original purchase receipt, on

which the date of purchase and the unit-model are indicated.

15.2 Warranty handling

A faulty unit needs to be returned to an authorized service centre including a valid purchase

note. If the unit develops a fault during the warranty period, the service centre will repair any

defects caused by material or manufacturing faults free of charge.

The service centre will at its discretion fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or

exchanging the faulty units or parts of the faulty units. In case of replacement, colour and

model can be different from the original purchased unit.

The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The warranty period

is not extended if the unit is exchanged or repaired by the appointed service centres.

15.3 Warranty exclusions

Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from

use of non-original parts or accessories are not covered by the warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and

fire, nor any damage caused during transportation.

No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the unit has been changed, removed or

rendered illegal.

The CE symbol indicates that the unit complies with the essential

requirements of the R&TTE directive.

Vi takker for dit køb af Topcom Twintalker. Det er en lavstrøms radiokommunikativt apparat

der ikke har nogen løbende udgifter andre end den minimale udgift ved genopladning af

batterierne.

Twintalker fungere ved at bruge private mobile radiofekvenser, og kan bruges i alle lande,

hvor tjenesten er tilladt som angivet på æsken og i denne håndbog.

2 Påtænkt formål

Den kan bruges til forskellige professionelle samt private formål. For eksempel: til at bevare

kontakten under rejser med 2 eller flere biler, cykelture, skiture. Den kan bruges til at bevare

kontakten med børnene, når de leger uden for, osv..

3 CE-mærke og begrænsninger

CE-mærket på enheden, brugervejledningen og gaveæsken angiver, at enheden stemmer

overens med vigtige krav i R&ETTE direktiv 1995/5/EC.

(!) symbolet ved siden af CE-mærket angiver, at PMR-standarden ikke er tilladt i alle

europæiske lande.

4 Sikkerhedsinstruktioner

4.1 Alment

Læs følgende informationer angående sikkerhed og korrekt betjening nøje igennem. Gør dig

fortrolig med alle apparatets funktioner. Opbevar denne håndbog på et sikkert sted til senere

brug.

4.2 Forbrændinger

• Hvis antennens indpakning er ødelagt, må den ikke komme i berøring med huden, da

det kan resultere i mindre forbrændinger under transmission.

• Batterier kan forsage ejendomsskader, såsom forbrændinger, hvis strømledende

materialer, såsom smykker, nøgler eller kæder kommer i berøring med blottede

terminaler. Materialet kan forårsage et elektrisk kredsløb (kortslutning) og blive meget

varm. Vær forsigtig ved håndtering af opladede batterier, især når de lægges i en

lomme, pung eller andre opbevaringssteder med metalting.

Begrænsning:

Kontroller de lokale lovgivninger, før apparatet tages i brug i

andre lande, end der hvor det er købt. Standarden kan være

forbudt i det pågældende land.

4.3 Personlig sikkerhed

• Anbring ikke batterierne et sted, hvor der er eksplosionsfare. Der kan opstå

kontaktgnister, når batterierne indsættes, hvilket kan forårsage en eksplosion.

• Sluk for kommunikatoren på steder med eksplosionsfarer. Gnister i et sådant område

kan forårsage en eksplosion eller brand, der kan resultere i kropsskader eller endda

dødsfald.

• Smid aldrig batterier i ild, da de kan eksplodere.

• Brug i biler: anbring ikke apparatet i området over en airbag eller i airbaggens

udløsningsfelt. Airbags pustes op med stor kraft. Hvis en kommunikator er anbragt i

airbaggens udløsningsfelt og airbaggen pustes op, kan kommunikatoren blive revet

afsted med stor kraft og forårsage alvorlige skader på bilens passagerer.

• Hold radioen mindst 15 centimeter fra en pacemaker.

• Sluk radoen så snart der opstår interferens med medicinsk udstyr.

4.4 Forgiftningsfare

• Opbevar batterier utilgængeligt for små børn

4.5 Lov

• I visse lande er det forbudt at bruge PMR, mens man kører. I dette tilfælde skal man

forlade vejen, før man tager apparatet i brug.

• Sluk for Deres enhed ombord på et fly, når De anmodes om det. Al brug af enheden skal

foregå i overensstemmelse med luftfartsregulativer eller besætningsinstruktioner.

• Sluk for Deres enhed i alle faciliteter, hvor skilte beder Dem om det. Hospitaler eller

sundhedsfaciliteter kan anvende udstyr, der er følsomt over for ekstern RF-energi.

• Udskiftning eller ændring af antennen kan påvirke PMR’s radiospecifikationer og være i

strid med EF-regulativer. Uautoriserede antenner kan også beskadige radioen.

4.6 Bemærkninger

• Rør ikke antennen under transmission, da det kan påvirke rækkevidden.

• Fjern batterier, hvis enheden ikke skal bruges i længere tid.

Områder med eksplosionsfare er ofte, men ikke altid,

udtrykkeligt markeret. Hermed menes bl.a. brændstofområder,

såsom under dækket på et skib, brændstof- eller

kemikaliepumper eller opbevaringsfaciliteter; områder, hvor

luften indeholder kemikalier eller partikler, såsom korn, støv

eller metalstøv. og alle andre områder, hvor man normalt vil

rådes til at slukke for bilens motor.

5 Rengøring og vedligeholdelse

• Rengør enheden ved at tørre med en blød klud, der er fugtet med vand. Brug ikke

rengøringsmiddel eller opløsningsmidler på enheden; de kan skade huset og lække ind,

hvilket kan give permanent skade.

• Batterikontakter kan tørres med en tør fnugfri klud.

• Hvis enheden bliver våd, skal den slukkes og batterierne fjernes øjeblikkeligt. Tør

batterirummet med en blød klud for at minimere potentiel vandskade. Lad låget til

BATTERIRUMMET blive af natten over eller indtil det er helt tørt. Brug ikke enheden, før

den er helt tør.

6 Bortskaffelse af enheden (miljø)

Når produktet er udtjent skal det ikke kasseres med det almindelige

husholdningsaffald. Produktet skal bringes hen til et opsamlingssted for

genbrug af elektrisk- og elektronisk udstyr. Symbolet på produktet,

brugervejledningen og/eller kassen angiver dette.

Nogle af produktmaterialerne kan genbruges, hvis de sendes til en

genbrugsstation. Ved at genbruge nogle af delene eller råvarerne fra de brugte produkter

bidrager du til beskyttelse af miljøet.

Kontakt de lokale myndigheder, hvis du har brug for yderligere oplysninger om

opsamlingspunkter i dit område.

7 Brug af en PMR-enhed

Til kommunikation mellem PMR-enheder skal alle enheder indstilles til samme kanal og

inden for modtagelsesområdet ( op til max. 6 km på et åbent sted. Da disse apparater bruger

frie frekvensbånd (kanaler), deler alle enheder i brug disse kanaler (i alt 8 kanaler). Privatlivet

Hvis man vil kommunikere (udsende et talesignal), skal man trykke påe PTT - knappen (tryk

for at tale). Når der er trykket på knappen, vil enheden gå i udsendelsesmodus, og man kan

tale ind i mikrofonen. Alle andre PMR-enheder i rækkevidden, på samme kanal og i

standbymodus (ingen transmission) vil høre din meddelelse. Man skal vente, indtil de andre

holder op med at udsende, før man kan svare på meddelelsen. Efter hver transmission vil

enheden udsende et bip. For at svare skal man trykke på PTT - knappen og tale ind i

mikrofonen.

Hvis 2 eller flere brugere trykker på PTT - knappen på samme

tid, vil modtageren kun modtage det stærkeste signal, og alle

andre signaler vil blive undertrykt. Man bør derfor kun udsende

et signal (tryk på PTT - knappen), når kanalen er ledig.

8 Kom i gang

8.1 Fjern/installér bælteklipsen

1. For at fjerne bælteklipsen fra enheden, skal

bælteklipsen (b) skubbes hen mod antennen,

mens der trækkes i klipsespændet (a).

2. Når bælteklipsen sættes på igen, vil man høre

et klik, der angiver, at bælteklipsen er låst fast.

8.2 Batteriinstallation

1. Fjern bælteklipsen.(§8.1)

2. Åbn låsetappen (C) og skub batteridækslet af.

3. Indsæt den genopladelige batteripakke med

henblik på den angivne polaritet. Sørg for at

metalkontakterne (D) vender udad i forhold til

radioen, der skal tilsluttes batteridækslet.

4. Sæt batterilåget og bælteklipsen (§ 8.1) på

igen.

9 Opladning af batterier

Når batteripakker er indsat, giver bordopladeren drop-

in opladning

1. Sæt bordopladeren på en plan

overflade.

2. Tilslut en ende af den

medfølgende adapter i

strømstikket og den anden ende i

stikket på bagsiden af

bordopladeren.

3. Tilslut radioen i opladeren som

angivet.

4. Opladnings-LED'et vil blive tændt,

hvis den er indsat korrekt og

oplader.

Det tager omkring 8 til 10 timer at lade batterierne helt op.

Batterier må ikke kortsleuttes eller kastes i ild. Fjern batterierne,

hvis denne enhed ikke skal bruges i længere tid.

Batteriopladningsniveauet er angivet af et antal firkanter inde i batteriikonet på LCD-

skærmen.

Når batteriopladningsniveauet er lavt, vil batteriikonet blinke for at angive, at batterierne skal

udskiftes eller genoplades.

Når batteriet er isat og enheden er slukket, vises tiden.

I slukket tilstand:

• For at aktivere; tryk og hold . Enheden vil "bippe" og LCD-skærmen vil vise den

• For at slukke; tryk og hold igen. Enheden vil ”bippe” og kun klokkeslættet vil vises.

• Tryk og hold i 5 sekunder, hvorefter timen blinker.

• Tryk på eller for at ændre timen.

• Tryk på fo at bekræfte, hvorefter minutterne blinker.

• Tryk på eller for at ændre minutterne.

• Tryk og hold i 5 sekunder for at bekræfte indstillingen

Tiden vil blive nulstillet til 12:00, når batteriet fjernes.

For at skifte kanaler:

BEMÆRK: Enhver PMR, der er indstillet til samme kanal, kan modtage og lytte til

samtalen, selv når den anden bruger en CTCSS-kode.

Højttalervolumen kan justeres vha. og . Højttalervolumenets niveau

vises på LCD’et.

Enheden er løbende i MODTAGE-tilstand, når enheden er tændt og ikke

udsender. Når der modtages et signal på den aktuelle kanal, vises RX-

ikonet.

• Tryk og hold for at TRANSMITTERE.

• Hold enheden lodret med mikrofonen 10 cm fra munden og tal ind i

mikrofonen.

• Slip , når du er færdig med at transmittere.

• Tryk på en gang, og det aktuelle kanalnummer vil blinke på LCD-

skærmen.

• Tryk på eller for at skifte kanal.

• Tryk på for at bekræfte valget, og vend tilbage til NORMAL

tilstand.

• For at bekræfte og gå videre til næste mulighed, tryk på .

13.7 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System)

Den 2-cifrede CTCSS-kode passer til en specifik tonefrekvens, som radioen udsender. To

brugere, med samme kanal og CTCSS indstillet, kan høre hinanden. De vil ikke være i stand

til at høre andre på kanalen, medmindre de andre radioer har aktiveret nøjagtigt samme

CTCSS-kode.

PMR har 38 CTCSS-koder til rådighed.

BEMÆRK: Enhver PMR, der er indstillet til samme kanal, kan modtage og lytte til

samtalen, selv når den anden bruger en CTCSS-kode.

13.8 Monitor

De kan bruge monitorfunktionen til at finde svagere signaler i den aktuelle kanal.

• Tryk på og samtidigt for at aktivere kanalovervågning. Hold disse knapper nede i

3 sekunder for kontinuerlig overvågning.

• Tryk på for at stoppe overvågning.

13.9 VOX-valg

PMR kan sende med stemmeaktivering (VOX). I VOX-mode vil radioen udsende et signal,

når den er aktiveret med Deres stemme eller en anden lyd omkring Dem. VOX-betjeningen

kan ikke anbefales, hvis man vil bruge radioen i støjende eller blæsende omgivelser.

• Tryk på to gange, og CTCSS-koden vil blinke

• Tryk på eller for at vælge en anden kode.

• Tryk på for at bekræfte valget, og vend tilbage til NORMAL

tilstand.

• For at bekræfte og gå videre til næste mulighed, tryk på .

• Tryk på 3 gange.

• Tryk på for at at aktivere VOX-funktionen og tryk på for at

vælge niveauet for VOX-sensitivitet, hvilket angives i højre hjørne af

displayet. Tryk , indtil OFF vises på displayet, for at deaktivere

VOX.

• I VOX-mode vil VOX-ikonet vises.

• For at bekræfte valget og vende tilbage til NORMAL tilstand, skal der

trykkes på .

13.10 Kanalsøgning

KANALSØGNING udfører søgning efter aktive signaler i en endeløs sløjfe fra kanal 1 til 8.

Når et aktivt signal (en af de 8 kanaler) spores, skal der trykkes på eller for at gå forbi

den aktuelle kanal og fortsætte søgningen efter en anden aktiv kanal.

13.11 Opkaldstoner

En opkaldstone advarer andre om, at du ønsker at starte en samtale.

Press briefly. Opkaldstonen vil blive udsendt i 3 sekunder på den indstillede kanal.

13.12 Roger bip til/fra

Når - knappen, vil enheden udsende et Roger-bip for bekræftelse af, at man er holdt op

med at snakke.

13.13 Tastetone til/fra

Når der trykkes på en knap, vil enheden bippe kort.

• Tryk og hold . Tryk kort på for at starte søgning.

• Slip knapperne.

• Når et aktivt signal (en af de 8 kanaler) spores, stoppes

KANALSØGNING midlertidigt, og De vil høre det aktive signal.

• Tryk på for at kommunikere gennem den aktive signalkanal. Tryk

på for at deaktivere kanalsøgning.

Der kan vælges 5 forskellige opkaldstoner.

• Tryk på 4 gange. CA vil vises.

• Tryk på eller for at vælge en anden opkadstone eller vælg OFF

for at deaktivere opkaldstoner.

13.14 Dobbeltkanal monitorfunktion

I standby indstilles PMR til en indstillet kanal med CTCSS kode. PMR vil kun modtage

signaler, der er transmitteret på den kanal og CTCSS kode.

Dobbeltkanal monitor gør det muligt at overvåge et andet signal med CTCSS kode.

For at deaktivere denne funktion skal du vælge ’OFF’, når du indstiller kanalen.

Når dobbeltkanal monitorfunktionen er aktiveret, vil PMR skifte sekventielt mellem

standbykanal + CTCSS og dobbeltkanal + CTCSS.

13.15 Knaplås

Twintalker 9000 kan anvendes med en valgfri ekstern mikrofon og højttaler (medfølger ikke)

Stikket sidder under det beskyttende gummilåg i højre side af enheden. For at sætte de

eksterne højttaler/mikrofon-headset eller øretelefoner fast skal man løfte gummiflappen oven

på enheden, så stikket blottes.

Indsæt det passende stik i kontakten.

• Tryk på 7 gange, hvorefter DCM OFF vises på

displayet.

• Tryk på eller for at skifte kanal.

• Tryk på for at bekræfte kanalvalget og gå til CTCSS

15 Reklamationsret

15.1 Reklamationsret

Enheder fra Topcom er omfattet af en 36-måneders reklamationsfrist jvf. gældende

lovgivning.

Reklamationsfristen gælder fra den dag, forbrugeren køber den nye enhed.

Reklamationsretten skal dokumenteres ved at den originale regning eller kvittering

vedlægges, hvorpå købsdato samt enhedens type er anført.

15.2 Håndtering af fejlbehæftede enheder

Ved reklamation kontaktes det sted, hvor telefonen er købt.

Den defekte enhed sendes retur til et Topcom servicecenter (i de fleste tilfælde via

forhandleren) vedhæftet gyldig købskvittering eller kopi heraf.

Hvis enheden har en defekt inden for reklamationsfristen, vil Topcom eller dennes officielt

udnævnte servicecenter, uden vederlag reparere enhver defekt, som måtte skyldes fejl i

materialer eller fremstilling.

Topcom vil efter eget skøn indfri reklamationsrettens forpligtelser ved enten at reparere eller

udskifte fejlbehæftede enheder eller reservedele på disse.

Ved udskiftning/ombytning kan farve og model variere fra den købte enhed..

15.3 Reklamationsretundtagelser

Ved skader eller defekter, som skyldes forkert behandling eller betjening, samt skader, der

skyldes brug af uoriginale reservedele eller tilbehør, som ikke er anbefalet af Topcom,

bortfalder reklamationsretten.

Desuden omfatter reklamationsretten ikke skader, der skyldes ydre faktorer, såsom

lynnedslag, vand- og brandskader, samt skader der skyldes transport.

Reklamationsretten bortfalder hvis enhedens serienumre er blevet ændret, fjernet eller på

nogen måde ikke stemmer overens eller er gjort ulæselige.

Batterier er ikke omfattet af reklamationsretten, da dette er en forbrugsvare.

Reklamationsretten bortfalder desuden, hvis enheden er blevet repareret, ændret eller

modificeret af køber eller af et ukvalificeret og ikke officielt udnævnt Topcom servicecenter.

Af sikkerhedsmæssige grunde tilrådes det, at apparatet frakobles el-nettet ved tordenvejr.

CE-mærkningen bekræfter, at produktet er i overensstemmelse med

kravene i Rådets teleterminaldirektiv.
