Replacing the Battery
The NELSON cordless telephone has a replaceable 3,6 V, 600 mA Ni-Cd battery.
The battery compartment is located at the back of the handset.
1. Press the cover of the battery compartment and slide it down.
2. Put the battery, with the contacts up, into the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Charging the Battery
The battery of the handset must be charged before telephone calls can be made.
The first time the unit is used, it takes about 15 hours before the battery is fully
charged.
Put the handset in the connected baseset to charge the battery. The red battery
indicator (8) lights to indicate battery charging. After 15 hours the battery is
fully charged.
Do not put the handset in the baseset, every time the phone has been used! Put
the handset only in its base when the battery LED indicates that the battery must
be recharged. It is better for the battery to be sufficiently decharged before
being recharged.
Battery operating time
A fully charged battery, allows a conversation of about 5 hours. In the standby
mode the battery has to be recharged after 40 hours (depending on the number
and length of the calls).
Note:
The charger contacts of the battery on the handset and on the baseset, should
be cleaned with a soft cloth once a month.
