Adjusting the Receiving Volume
The handset can be set to two different receiving volumes. Press the function
button (13) during a conversation to switch between “loud” and “silent”. The
normal receiving volume is “silent”, press the function button ( 1 3 ) to in-
crease the volume.
Switching Off
If the telephone will not be used over a longer period of time, the battery should
be taken out of the handset, otherwise it wil discharge.
OPERATION
Radio Contact Between Baseset and Handset
While telephoning with the cordless handset, a radio contact between base unit
and handset replaces the handset cord. Make sure the antenna of the baseset
points straight up, if not you may have a bad connection.
When the handset is taken out of its base, it is in the standby mode. Pressing the
line button (15) will establish radio contact with the base.
Outgoing Calls
1. Press the line button (15).
2. The line indicator (7) blinks. Radio contact between base and handset is
being established.
Note:
When after 5 seconds no connection between handset and base is established,
the telephone will automatically switch to the standby mode and a beep will
be heard.
3. The line indicator (7) lights up. Radio contact between base and handset is
established.
4. You can now dial the telephone number.
Note:
When the base is in pulse mode press the asterisk/P-T change button (19)
to operate temporarily in the tone mode.
5. Wait until someone answers your call.
Incoming Calls
1. When the phone rings, press the line button (15) and answer the call.
Note:
When the phone rings while the handset is in its base, just pick the handset
up to answer the call.
2. As long as the line is not broken, the line indicator (7) lights.
