Measurement range and accuracy depend on how well the laser is
reected by the surface of the target object and from the brightness of
the laser point compared to the ambient light.

In favourable conditions, the accuracy for measurements <10 m is
about ±2 mm. For measurements >10 m, calculate an inuence of about
±0.1 mm/m.
In unfavourable conditions (i.e. bright sunlight or a poorly reective
surface), the range is impaired and the result can deviate from the
correct result by up to 10 mm.
