PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Before using the appliance for the rst me, you should proceed as follows: carefully unpack the hob and remove all
packaging material and any promoonal sckers. Keep the packaging (plasc bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
Aer unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
The
hot plate becomes hot during use, and
also aer use, the
hot plate remains hot for some me. Mount the
supplied handles,
so you can pick up
the
hot plate safely if you want and
move it without
burning yourself. Screw the
handles ght on both sides of
the
hot plate using the
provided screws.
Place the hot plate on a sturdy, at and heat-resistant surface. Clean the hot plate with a slightly damp cloth. The hot plate is
provided with a protecve layer that must be removed prior to rst use. This is done by turning on the hot plate at maximum
level for approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Dothisinaproperlyvenlatedroom! Light smoke may form due to the protecve layer
burning o the hot plate. Aer removing the protecve layer you can switch o the hot plate or start using it.
USE
Switch the thermostat knob to «MIN». Only then insert the plug in the socket. Turn the thermostat knob of the hot plate to the
right, to the required posion. The indicator light lights up.
Posion «MIN» of the hot plate is the lowest posion and posion «MAX» is the highest posion.
Use a low posion [MINto4] for simmering and a higher posion [5toMAX] for boiling and frying.
The thermostat knob is a stepless control:
MIN = low
1-4 = keep warm-simmer
5 = boiling and frying
MAX = high
It takes approximately 10 minutes for the hot plate to reach maximum temperature (on the maximum seng of the thermostat
knob). When the set temperature has been reached, the indicator light switches o. Aer a drop in temperature, due to heat
transfer to the pan, the thermostat switches on again. The indicator light will light up again. Due to the construcon of the
hot plate, it remains hot for some me aer switching o. This residual heat can be used to keep the food warm for a short
period of me.
CAUTION: THE APPLIANCE CAN GET VERY HOT DURING USE, THEREFORE PLACE THE APPLIANCE DURING USE ON A HEAT-
RESISTANT PLATE AND NEVER, FOR EXAMPLE, ON A PLASTIC TABLE, PLASTIC TABLE CLOTH OR REFRIDGERATOR.
Only use pans with booms that have the same diameter as the hot plate itself. Smaller diameters lead to loss of energy.
Do not touch the hot plate when it is switched on. Please note that the hot plate does not cool down immediately aer being
switched o. Turn the thermostat knob to the «MIN» posion and remove the plug from the socket aer each use.
