5. Structure of concentric duct system
The installation instructions are as follows:
Installation with direct or indirect feed-through.
Direct connection.
The fire can be connected directly to the wall, using the horizontal terminal set. Possible nuisance to the
neighbourhood must be taken into account. The national building standards contains the relevant regula-
tions. In addition, ensure that the wind pressure on the outlet is not excessive (e.g. in extremely narrow pas-
sages), since this can affect the performance of the fire.

Create an opening of 155 mm. in diameter in the external wall (in a flammable external wall, provide for
extra space of 50 mm. all round the outer pipe) and mount the horizontal terminal with the wall plate on the
inside of the wall. On the outside, the wall plate of the horizontal terminal must be sealed sufficiently to the
wall to prevent the possibility of damp and/or exhaust gases entering the living space.
If necessary, the duct can be enclosed.. Sufficient fire resistant measures must also be taken if the duct is to
be mounted against flammable materials. Determine the position of the fire and the outlet and start the con-
struction of the horizontal terminal set by connecting to the fire. Ensure that all connections are properly
gas tight.
Indirect connection.
The outlet can also be constructed in the outer wall in a situation where the exhaust is on top (always 1 me-
tre vertical first). Possible nuisance to the neighbourhood must be taken into account. The national building
standards contains the relevant regulations. In addition, ensure that the wind pressure on the outletis not ex-
cessive (e.g. in extremely narrow passages), since this can affect the performance of the fire.

Determine the position of the fire and the outlet and start the construction of the duct with the connection to
the fire. Note the direction of mounting, and connect the elements to each other by means of the locking
bands.
Fit a 90° bend directly to the horizontal terminal, and make the connection with the elements on the appli-
ance. Ensure that all connections are fully gas tight.
An adjustable length can be used between bends or for the connection to the fire. Use wall brackets to sup-
port the duct, if necessary.
Installation of the vertical terminal.
The outlet can be placed at any arbitrary position on the roof surface (inlet and outlet in identical pressure
areas) but must comply with the current regulations.
Use a flat roof panel for flat roofs, or a lead roof panel for sloping tiled roofs to ensure a watertight feed-
through. This can be sloped with the aid of various bends, if necessary. The opening in the roof decking
must be 5 cm. larger all round to ensure sufficient fire resistance. Adjustable roof plates can also be used
against the roof decking.
Determine the position of the fire and the outlet and start the construction of the duct with the connection to
the fire (always 1 metre vertical first). Note the direction of mounting, and connect the elements to each
other by means of the locking bands. Make sure that all connections are completely gas tight.
An adjustable length can be used between bends or for the connection to the fire. Use wall brackets to sup-
port the duct, if necessary.
