HANDSET PREPARATION
Remove the safety strip from the battery compart-
ment. The handset is now ready for use
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
If the handset behaves erratically or fails to operate
the battery should be replaced.
1: Press the catch at the side of the battery compart-
ment. Slide out the battery cage
2: Remove the old battery. Place the new battery in
the cage with the polarity as shown. Close the cage.
Observe the battery cautions on the Inside Front Cover.
USING THE HANDSET
Point the handset directly at the infrared receiving
window of the player. The handset must be no more
than 3 metres from the player and at an angle of no
more than 30º for reliable operation.
Note: If handset operation is erratic in bright sunlight,
relocate the player to a shady location.

Switch the player o. Press the retaining catch at the top
of the player. Hold the player with one hand and hinge
outthescreenwiththeother.DONOTuseforce.Holdthe
disc with the label facing outwards. Locate the disc over
the centre spindle and press gently. Slowly shut the screen
which will click into place. The disc is now ready for play.

Switch the player o.
Shut the stand and lay the player carefully on its back on a table.
Press the retaining catch at the top of the player.
Hold the player with one hand and hinge out the screen with the
other.DONOTuseforce.Holdthediscwiththelabelfacingout-
wards. Locate the disc over the centre spindle and press gently.
Slowly shut the screen which will click into place.
Place the player upright, and extend the stand. (See Page 7). The
disc is now ready for play.
Note: We do not recommend that you insert/remove discs while
the player is upright as it may overbalance with a risk of damage
to the player and the disc.
