ADJUSTING THE VOLUME CHOOSING A STATION
Your radio can receive stations from the FM band or from one
of the two AM bands available, Medium wave (AM) or Long
wave (LW).
Selecting a band:
Slide the BAND SWITCH until the pointer lines up with the
FM, AM or LW band required.
FM and AM/LW aerials:
If you are tuning to an FM station, extend the telescopic
aerial fully to expose the swivelling base.
The AM aerial is internal. If you are tuning to an AM or LW
station, it is not necessary to extend the telescopic antenna.
To tune to a station:
Turn the TUNING CONTROL to set the pointer to the
frequency required on the Tuning scale.
Fine tune to the station you want by making small
adjustments back and forth with the TUNING CONTROL
until reception is clearest.
Once the station is tuned in, maximise the signal strength
by adjusting the position of the FM telescopic aerial (FM
stations) or by rotating the radio (AM/LW stations).
To adjust the volume:
Turn the • VOLUME control.
The number in the Volume level indicator window indicates
the volume set. ‘0’ indicates Power O, and volume increases
from a minimum setting of ‘1’ to a maximum of ‘10’.
AFTER USING YOUR RADIO
