I purchased a Go Cook stockpot from Tesco Borehamwood Extra on 21/2/23. I have found it particularly useful for making soup with the help of a blender. Because I now have an induction hob I have had to change all my aluminium saucepans as well as my stainless steel utensils for items compatible with an induction hob. I assumed that I should also replace my previous blender, which had a metal "foot' with one with a plastic "foot". However, the plastic blender failed to cope with the boiling water and became very misshapen and exposed the blades. These then scraped the "marble" coating at the bottom of the stockpot, removing some of it. Questions: (1) Is the stockpot still safe to use? (2) Can I use a blender with a metal "foot", or was I right to change it for one with a plastic "'foot"? In that case, there should be a clear warning attached to the stockpot to alert the would-be purchaser as to what sort of blender is advisable for use with an induction hob.
