6� As soon as the charcoal is glowing,
spread it evenly over the charcoal grate
(D)� To do this, use a suitable fireproof
tool with a long, fireproof handle�
7� With this field kitchen you can prepare
mulled wine, one-pot meals, Asian
curry dishes, Mexican chilli dishes,
and – of course – stew� Typical one-pot
meals are pea soup and lentil soup�
8� Fill the cooking pot with ingredients,
such as meat, water, and herbs and
spices� Grab the cooking pot by the
handle and hang it in place on the
furnace� Place the lid on the cooking
pot� From time to time, stir the food
inside the cooking pot using the ladle
(B) supplied, in order to prevent it from
burning to the base of the cooking pot�
9� Likewise, check whether there are
sufficient embers in the furnace
underneath the cooking pot� Do so by
opening the furnace doorAs needed,
insert more charcoal through the
opened furnace door
Maintenance and Cleaning
Your stew oven has been manufactured
out of high-quality materials�
Please note: Stainless steel discolours at
high temperatures! This is not a defect, but
a sign of quality!
Contrary to common opinion, stainless
steel is not a hundred percent safe from
rust film and corrosion, and is therefore
not maintenance-free� Even the highest-
quality stainless steels require regular
cleaning with clean water and rubbing with
cooking oil, in order to prevent oxidation
and corrosion�
In order to clean and care for the surfaces,
please bear the following advice in mind:
Danger Risk of burning!
Let the stew oven cool down
completely before you clean it�
Only tip out the ashe when the fuel has
completely burned out�
Danger Health risk!
Do not use any decolourants
or thinners to remove stains�
These are harmful to health
and must not come into
contact with food�
Attention Risk of damage!
Do not use any strong or
grinding solvents or abrasive
pads, since these can attack
the surfaces and leave behind
scrape marks�
• After cooking, let the fuel burn out�
• Empty the cold ash� It is very important
that you remove the ash before
moisture combines with the cold
ash. Ash is saline and, in a moist
condition, will attack the inside of
the ash collecting tray. Thus, over
years the ash collecting tray can
sustain damage through rust.
• Regularly clean the stew oven, ideally
after each use�
• Remove the cooking pot (C) and lid
(A) and clean both of them thoroughly
with soapy water� Rinse the cooking pot
and lid with clean water� Dry the parts
thoroughly and place them back in the
furnace�
• Remove loose deposits on the stew
oven with a wet sponge�
• Use a soft, clean cloth for drying� Do
not scratch the surfaces when wiping

  • Hello, I put my "Waverly" together, and found too many screws and not enough of the correct ones to finish the oven; there are a lot of unknown parts, which have no description were and how to put together!
    This is very strange, because those parts are not in the manual.
