Dynamisches DNS.
Wenn Sie im Internet einen eigenen Dienst (z. B. eine eigene Homepage) zur Ver-
fügung stellen, ist diese über einen Domänennamen (z. B. www.meinedomain.de)
erreichbar. Diesem Domänennamen ist die öfffentliche IP-Adresse Ihres Speedport
W 723V zugeordnet. Wenn Ihr Internetanbieter für den Internetanschluss Ihres
Heimnetzwerks die IP-Adresse dynamisch vergibt, dann kann sich diese IP-Adresse
des Speedport W 723V ändern. Damit ist die Zuordnung zu Ihrem Domänennamen
nicht mehr gegeben.
Die Zuordnung von Domänennamen (z. B. www.meine-domain.de) und IP-Adressen
(z. B. 66.230.188.82) wird über den Domain Name Service (DNS) realisiert. Für
dynamische IP-Adressen wird dieser Service durch das so genannte dynamische
DNS ergänzt. Es ermöglicht die Nutzung eines PCs mit wechselnder IP-Adresse als
Server im Internet. Dynamisches DNS stellt sicher, dass ein Dienst im Internet un-
abhängig von der aktuellen IP-Adresse immer unter dem gleichen Domänennamen
angesprochen werden kann.
In unserem Fall ist es nicht ein PC, sondern der Speedport W 723V, der für alle
PCs des lokalen Netzwerks die Verbindung ins Internet realisiert und über den der
Dienst eines PCs im Internet bereitgestellt wird.
Der Speedport W 723V muss dynamisches DNS eines Service-Anbieters nutzen,
um einen Dienst auf einem PC in seinem Heimnetzwerk im Internet bereitstellen
zu können. Über dynamisches DNS können Sie dem Speedport W 723V einen
individuellen, festen Domänennamen im Internet zuweisen, auch wenn er keine
feste IP-Adresse hat.
Es gibt im Internet verschiedene Anbieter, die dynamisches DNS zur Verfügung
stellen. Mit einem Speedport W 723V können Sie u. a. folgende Serviceangebote
