3. Wählen Sie unter Betriebsart „WEP“ aus, wählen Sie im Bereich „Verschlüsselung WEP“ einen Schlüs-
seltyp aus und tragen Sie einen Schlüssel im Feld „Schlüssel“ ein.
4. Klicken Sie auf „Speichern“.
Damit ist der Speedport W 721V für WDS eingerichtet. Lesen Sie nun die Hinweise im folgenden Abschnitt
„Einstellungen an den Repeatern“.
Einstellungen an den Repeatern
Alle WLAN Access Points/Repeater, die Sie für die Erweiterung Ihres kabellosen Netzwerks mit dem
Speedport W 721V einsetzen, müssen ebenfalls eingerichtet werden. Beachten Sie die folgenden Hinweise:
■ Beachten Sie für die WDS-Einstellungen der WLAN Access Points/Repeater die Dokumentationen der
jeweiligen Hersteller.
■ Am DSL angeschlossen stellt der Speedport W 721V die Internetverbindung für alle weiteren WLAN
Access Points/Repeater im Netzwerk bereit. Stellen Sie daher sicher, dass die Funktion „DHCP“ für alle
WLAN Access Points/Repeater, die nicht direkt am DSL angeschlossen sind, deaktiviert ist. Wie Sie die
DHCP-Einstellungen des Speedports W 721V ändern, lesen Sie unter „DHCP-Server in der Benutzero-
berfläche ein- und ausschalten“ auf Seite 81.
■ Tragen Sie die MAC-Adresse des Speedport W 721V in alle WLAN Access Points/Repeater ein, die im
kabellosen Netzwerk betrieben werden.
■ Jeder WLAN Access Points/Repeater, der im kabellosen Netzwerk betrieben wird, muss über eine ein-
deutige IP-Adresse im Netzwerk erreichbar sein. Stellen Sie daher sicher, dass jede IP-Adresse nur ein-
mal vergeben ist. Die IP-Adresse des Speedport W 721V ändern Sie im Konfigurationsprogramm im
Menü „Konfiguration/Netzwerk/LAN“.
