La tabella sopra è valida solo per le fibre. Se il tessuto si sgualcisce, si lucida oppure si
gonfia sotto il ferro da stiro, è preferibile abbassare la temperatura con l‟aiuto del
termostato regolabile (4) per evitare di rovinare il tessuto.
Dividere gli articoli da stirare in funzione delle fibre tessili: lana con lana, cotone con
cotone, ecc.. Il tempo di raffreddamento è maggiore di quello di riscaldamento: si
consiglia di iniziare a stirare gli articoli che richiedono una temperatura bassa, come quelli
che si compongono di fibre sintetiche o di lana. Poi, gli articoli che richiedono una
temperatura media, ed infine quelli che richiedono una temperatura elevata.
Se l‟articolo da stirare è fabbricato in diverse fibre tessili, scegliere la temperatura in
funzione della fibra che richiede la temperatura più bassa (per esempio se si deve stirare
un tessuto che si compone di 40% di poliestere e di 60% di cotone, bisognerebbe scegliere
la temperatura corrispondente al poliestere e non usare vapore).
Se non si conosce la composizione del tessuto da stirare, prendere una parte del vestito
che non sia visibile e cominciare a stirare a bassa temperatura per poi aumentarla
progressivamente.
Gli articoli 100% lana possono essere stirati con il ferro da stiro in posizione „vapore‟. Si
consiglia di applicare un getto di vapore e di utilizzare un pezzo di stoffa tra il ferro ed il
tessuto di lana.
Quando si stira con l‟aiuto del vapore, per assicurarsi che il tessuto non brilli, bisogna
stirare il capo d‟abbigliamento al rovescio o sistemare un pezzo di stoffa leggermente
umido tra il ferro ed il tessuto.
Il velluto e gli altri tessili che brillano rapidamente dovrebbero essere stirati in una sola
direzione (preferibilmente nella stessa direzione delle fibre tessili del tessuto). Inoltre,
applicare una lieve pressione sul tessile ed evitare anche di lasciare il ferro da stiro per un
lasso di tempo (anche breve) sullo stesso punto.
Stirare il rovescio dei tessuti sintetici o di seta. Si consiglia di non usare il vapore perché
questo causerebbe delle macchie.
RIEMPIMENTO DEL SERBATOIO (PER STIRATURA A VAPORE)
Assicurarsi che la spina non sia collegata alla presa di terra.
Mettere l‟interruttore del serbatoio (1) sulla posizione spenta (0).
Posare il serbatoio su una superficie stabile e svitare il tappo premendo sopra e girando
nello stesso tempo in senso antiorario (se ha lasciato acqua nel serbatoio e il tappo
avvitato durante un uso ulteriore, si produrrà un lieve degassamento. È un fenomeno
normale che non rappresenta nessun pericolo).
Riempire il serbatoio con 0,75 litro di acqua al massimo.
Si può usare l‟acqua del rubinetto anche se, nel caso in cui l‟acqua fosse troppo dura, è
preferibile usare acqua distillata.
Non usare mai aceto, disincrostante o qualsiasi altro prodotto chimico.
Chiudere il serbatoio avvitando completamente il tappo (cf.p.4).
RIEMPIMENTO DEL SERBATOIO DURANTE LA STIRATURA
ATTENZIONE: QUANDO L‟APPARECCHIO SI SCALDA, IL SERBATOIO È SOTTO PRESSIONE CON
VAPORE CALDO.
INNANZI TUTTO ASSICURARSI CHE NON CI SIA PIÙ VAPORE NEL SERBATOIO. PER CIÓ, VISTO CHE
LA BASE E IL SERBATOIO SONO ANCORA SOTTO TENSIONE, SVUOTARE IL SERBATOIO PREMENDO
IL PULSANTE VAPORE (8) FINO A QUANDO TUTTO IL VAPORE E‟ USCITO. QUINDI SPEGNERE IL
FERRO E LA CALDAIA (INTERRUTTORE IN POSIZIONE SPENTA E IL TERMOSTATO DEL FERRO (4) IN
POSIZIONE “MIN”) E STACCARE LA SPINA DELLA BASE DALLA PRESA. SVITARE CAUTAMENTE IL
TAPPO PER CONTROLLARE CHE NON CI SIA PIU‟ VAPORE, POI SVITARLO COMPLETAMENTE.
LASCIARE IL SERBATOIO RAFFREDDARE QUALCHE MINUTO E RIEMPIRLO DI NUOVO. ATTENZIONE:
SE IL SERBATOIO È RIEMPITO TROPPO PRESTO, VAPORE O ACQUA CALDA POTREBBERO
