1. Ordene los alimentos cuidadosamente en un plato u otro recipiente resistente a las
microondas. Ponga las zonas más finas hacia el exterior del plato.
2. Vigile el tiempo de cocción. Cocine con la cantidad de tiempo más corta posible como
indicado en el envase de los alimentos y prolongue ulteriormente el tiempo de cocción si
esté necesario.
3. Cubra los alimentos cuando los cocina para evitar salpicaduras y para que sean cocidos
de manera uniforme.
4. Dele la vuelta a los alimentos como pollo y hamburguesas una vez durante el proceso de
cocción para acelerarlo. A los alimentos más importantes como asado tienen que darles
la vuelta al menos una vez.
5. Se aconseja dar la vuelta a alimentos como albóndiga y desplazarles del centro hasta el
exterior del recipiente durante la cocción.
GUIA DE UTENSILIOS
1. Lo ideal es utilizar utensilios especialmente concebidos para el microondas. Permiten el
paso de la energía al recipiente y caliente los alimentos.
2. Las microondas no pueden atravesar el metal, así pues no utilice utensilios de metal.
3. No utilice utensilios de papel reciclado cuando cocine en el microondas, ya que
pueden contener pequeños trozos de metal y causar chispas, o incluso provocar llamas.
4. Se recomiendan platos redondos u ovalados más que cuadrados o rectangulares
puesto que los alimentos que están en los rincones tienden a quemar.
