IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This appliance is not for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to
follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. Please refer to the rating
label for the maximum continuous usage time (KB xx min where xx is the maximum usage time).
The breaks should last at least 10 minutes.
UNIQUE BEATER SYSTEM
Your appliance is equipped with a unique beater system. The spring loaded beater with nylon
tips will scrape the bottom of the bowl in order to avoid lumps and obtain a perfectly
homogeneous mixture
ASSEMBLING THE BEATERS AND DOUGH HOOKS
Make sure that the switch (6) is in "OFF" position, and that the appliance is unplugged.
Press the release button of the bracket (7) and put the bracket in oblique position.
Insert the beaters (3) or dough hooks (9) underneath the bracket of the mixer. Caution:
the attachments have a mounting direction. The attachment fitted with a plastic ring that
has a moulded fin inside must be inserted in the right-hand opening of the bracket (see
picture page 4). If necessary, rotate them until you hear a clicking sound. Pull gently at the
attachments to check whether the attachments are locked.
To release the attachments, press the eject button (4) and pull at the attachments
simultaneously.
USE
Once the hooks or beaters are assembled, put the bowl (2) on the base (1) and rotate it
clockwise until it stops. Pull it upward gently to check whether it is locked (to remove the
bowl, proceed the other way around).
Press the bracket release button (7) to bring the bracket together with the appliance in
horizontal position in order to immerse the attachments in the bowl.
You can now plug in the appliance. The pilot light (5) will come on, indicating that the
appliance is plugged in. This pilot light is also the mixing speed indicator. To select the
appropriate mixing speed, turn the dial so the required speed is aligned with the pilot light.
Choose the desired speed setting of the mixer by turning the dial (6) (see "Speed settings").
You can also adjust the rotation speed of the bowl by turning the speed switch (8) (see
"Speed settings").
SPEED SETTINGS
As soon as the appliance is assembled, plug in the appliance and select the desired speed
setting.
Generally speaking, the beaters are used at high speed (5-10), whereas the dough hooks
should rather be used at low speed in order to avoid splashes.
Advised speed settings:
Use of the beaters:
1-2 Dry ingredients: butter, potatoes, flour
3-4 Liquids, sauces, spices
2-5 Dough: cake, biscuits
5-7 Desserts (creams)
7-10 Egg white, whipped cream
