When removing lime scale, only use special products for the removal of lime scale. Never
use ammonia or any other substance that might damage your health.
Only put ground coffee in the filters.
Never use your coffee maker without water in it. If you have a programmable coffee
maker, make sure to fill it with water before programming it.
Important: never put the jugs in a microwave oven to warm up the coffee. We will not
take any responsibility if you do so.

Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any
person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to
avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.
BEFORE FIRST USE
We recommend to get used to all functions of your appliance before using it for the first time.
Do not plug in the appliance before checking all its accessories. Insert the metal filter (11) in
the espresso filter holder (9) and position the filter holder. Remove and replace the cap of the
water tank (1). Fill the water tank with cold water. Put the espresso jug (10) on the grid of the
drip tray (6). Put the coffee jug (5) on the hot plate. Plug in the appliance. Press the 0/I switch
(the red pilot light will come on). Let a little water come out of the detachable filter holder (4)
and press the 0/I switch. Then press the espresso On/Off switch , the green and orange
pilot lights will illuminate. Turn the function selector (14) to position. The water will come out
of the espresso filter holder after about 3 minutes when the orange pilot light switches off.
SPECIAL SAFEGUARDS CONCERNING STEAM UNDER PRESSURE IN THE ESPRESSO MAKER
Never open the cap of the water tank and never remove the espresso filter holder during the
functioning of the appliance or as long as there is steam under pressure in the tank.
To check if the appliance is still under pressure, read the following instructions:
1. Make sure that the espresso On/Off switch is on the OFF position.
2. Hold a container with cold water under the steam pipe (12) and introduce the pipe in the
water.
3. Once the steam pipe (12) is immersed in water, put the function selector in position.
Continue this until no more steam comes out of the pipe.
4. Put the function selector in 0 position.
5. You can now remove the cap (1) of the tank and the espresso filter holder (9).
These safeguards are to be respected not only when the appliance is on but also during the 10-
15 minutes following the stopping of the appliance.
SPECIAL SAFEGUARDS CONCERNING THE COFFEE AND ESPRESSO JUGS
In order not to break the jugs:
Do not heat the jugs when they are empty.
Change your jugs if they are damaged.
If they are chipped or cracked, they could break or let glass particles enter the liquid.
Do not place the hot jugs on a cold or wet surface.
Do not use the jugs if the handles are cracked or broken.
Do not use metal sponges to clean the jugs, they could scratch and weaken the glass.
