COOKING IN YOUR STEAM OVEN
Make sure the appliance is unplugged. Fill steaming unit with cold tap water, the amount of water
is dependent on required cooking time.Anyway you have to follow the indications "LO"(minimum
level) and "HI"(maximum level) moulded in the unit. Don't follow them could damaged your
appliance. Do not add any herbs, spices or other liquid such as wine or broth to the water in the
steaming unit.
Place the food into the different steaming baskets. Do not add seasoning, herbs etc. until cooking
has been completed.
Place the different accessories you need inside the steaming unit as described on the drawing
(don’t forget to place the drip tray). Pay attention during the positionning of the accessories
because if there are not placed correctly, steam may escape through the side of your appliance
and may burn you.
Place the lid on the steaming unit. DO NOT OPERATE THIS APPLIANCE UNCOVERED-
STEAM IS GENERATED DURING USE.
Plug the 3-pin plug into a outlet.
Set the timer by turning the timer knob clockwise to your desired time setting. The both indicator
lights will go on. The red light indicates that the appliance is switched on and the green one
indicates the functioning of the heating base.
When the pre-set cooking time is over, a bell will ring and the electrical power will be cut off.
The green pilot light goes out.
The maximum quantity of water in the tank of the heating base may generate steam for
approximatively 25 minutes. When the pre-set cooking time is longer than 25 minutes, you will
have to fill again the water tank. In order to know if the tank is empty, you will have to check if
the green pilot light will go out and then go on again and again. This means that the water level
is under the minimum level and that the tank will have to be filled in soon. It is not necessary to
fill it before that the green pilot light has definitively gone out because the steam production
during this period is long enough for the cooking. To fill the tank, switch the appliance off and
then add cold water. At the beginning, steam will be produced (its quantity depends on the time
the heating base has been switched off). Pay attention not to burn yourself.
To check the food, wait until the steam has stopped escaping through the hole on the lid and then
open the cover slowly, taking care to avoid escaping steam and the condensation. CAUTION: DO
NOT TOUCH THE STEAMING BASKET OR THE STEAMING UNIT. Using a long handled
utensil, check the food. If the food is not cooked reset the timer and steam production will start
again. However if the steaming unit requires more water, proceed as described here above.
When the food is cooked, unplug and allow the appliance to cool slightly in order to eliminate all
the steam. Carefully remove the steaming baskets using oven gloves or another thermic hand
