MOUNTING (SEE PAGE 2, PICTURE )
1. Turn the grill casing upside down and install the 4 feet into the rubber tips. The feet have to
be directed as described on picture .
2. Install the middle plate using the screws supplied. Pay attention to position the nuts on the
external part of the feet.
3. Turn the appliance on its feet to check its stability.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. Cleaning and care). It is recommended to heat up the
barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that
may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell.
OPERATION (see page 3, picture )
CAUTION : NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT ASSEMBLING THE FEET.
THIS BARBECUE GRILL IS DESIGNED FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. WHEN ASSEMBLED WITH THE FEET,
STAND IT ON A FLAT AND SMOOTH FLOOR.
Place the collecting tray into the grill casing.
Fill the tray with 1.5 litre of water.
The water in the tray will evaporate during use. It is therefore necessary to refill water from
time to time. Do not spill water on the heating element, as this could be dangerous.
Then insert the heating element into the grill casing as described on the picture , and
finally set the grill over it.
Connect the appliance and switch it on using the thermostat knob. The red pilot light will
come to indicate that the appliance has been switched on.
Then preheat the grill for about 5 minutes and select the cooking temperature using the
thermostat knob.
During cooking, the red pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached.
Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack.
There are 3 grill positions (see page 2, picture ), according to the desired cooking
intensity.
The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
When grilling is finished switch off the thermostat and disconnect the appliance.
PRACTICAL HINTS
Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally carefully remove the
accumulated fat from the tray.
CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning any domestic electrical appliance, always make sure that the plug has
been removed from the mains supply socket.
Allow the grill to cool down thoroughly before cleaning.
Dismount all the accessories.
Never immerse the heating element, the thermostat and the plug in water or liquid! Wipe
them with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.
Clean the grill casing, the tray and the grill rack in warm soapy water and dry afterwards.
