en Instructions for use
Pedometer
Safety warnings
Read the safety warnings carefully and only
use the product as described in these
instructions to avoid accidental injury or
damage. Keep these instructions for future
reference. If you give this product to another
person, remember to also include these
instructions.
Intended use
When you are walking, hiking or jogging,
the pedometer counts the number of steps
you have taken and uses this to calculate
the distance covered and the approximate
number of calories and fat you burn. In
addition, you can specify your own number
of steps for your training.
The pedometer is designed for personal
use. It is not suitable for professional or
commercial purposes.
Danger to children
Swallowing batteries can be fatal. If a
battery is swallowed, it can cause severe
internal chemical burns and even death
within 2 hours. Therefore, keep both new
and old batteries and the product out of the
reach of children. If you think that a battery
has been swallowed or has got into the
body in any other way, seek medical advice
immediately.
Warning – risk of fire / explosion
Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown
into fire or short-circuited. Single-use
batteries must also not be charged.
Lithium batteries can explode if inserted
incorrectly. You should therefore ensure
correct positioning of the poles (+/–) when
inserting the battery. Use only batteries of
the same or of equivalent type (see the
technical specifications).
Clean the contacts on the batteries and
device as required before insertion.
Risk of overheating!
Risk of injury
If a battery has leaked, avoid all contact
with skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
Rinse the affected areas with water if nec-
essary and consult a doctor immediately.
Material damage
Protect the pedometer from rain, moisture
and strong jolts (do not drop it).
Protect batteries from excessive heat.
Remove the battery from the device when
it is flat or if you do not intend to use the
device for a long period of time.
This will help prevent damage caused by
leakage.
Do not use any caustic, aggressive or abra-
sive products for cleaning.
Please note that the pedometer only
counts your steps.
The distance you have covered and
the calories burnt are calculated on
the basis of these values together
with your personal data and do not
represent accurate results.
Prior to first use
Insulating strip
M Pull the insulating strip out of the battery
compartment.
Replacing the battery
Sealing ring
1. Loosen the two screws on the battery

3. Refit the sealing ring.
4. Place the battery compartment lid back
on and screw the screw in tightly.
The battery must be replaced if the
battery icon appears on the
display or if the device is clearly not
working. All settings and saved data
will be lost when the battery is
replaced.

2. Start walking or running.
The time of day and the
number of steps counted
will be shown on the
display.
The pedometer will respond with
a slight delay at first to avoid count-
ing and displaying every hint of a
movement as a step. Only when
the steps become regular are they
displayed, and those which were
not displayed previously are also
included in the calculation. There-
fore, do not be concerned if the
displayed value suddenly increases
by 10 steps.
The pedometer always counts all the
steps you take in a day. If you take a
break, the pedometer will always
continue counting from the number
of steps counted last.
