Het systeem herstellen in Veilige modus
Als Windows een groot probleem heeft, waardoor het niet normaal kan opstarten,
moet u het proberen te starten in Veilige modus. Dat is een noodmodus die een
minimale maar bijna altijd stabiele Windows-configuratie inlaadt.

Eerst moet u de computer handmatig herstarten. De BIOS Setup voert ver-
schillende testen uit en toont de overeenkomstige boodschappen.
Als dit is voltooid, zal uw computer Windows laden. Druk nu snel op de [F8]-toets, en
hou ze ingedrukt.

Daardoor verschijnt een opstartmenu. Gebruik de cursortoetsen om Veilige
modus te selecteren, en druk op [Enter]. Dat moet u snel doen. Het menu bevat een
zichtbare teller die de normale modus na korte tijd opstart.

Windows start nu op in de Veilige modus. Wees niet bang voor het rare uiterlijk
van het beeld op uw scherm. Uw computer laadt alleen de meest noodzakelijke
stuurprogramma's en onderdelen, waardoor het beeldscherm erg groot en onge-
woon gekleurd is. Dat is normaal.

Start Systeemherstel net als in de Normale modus via het menu Start, en voer
de herstelprocedure uit. Het programma werkt net zoals hierboven beschreven.
Selecteer het gewenste herstelpunt en herstel het systeem. De computer zal
automatisch opnieuw opstarten nadat het proces is voltooid.
Daarna kunt u Windows op de normale manier starten of andere aanpassingen
uitvoeren.
3.4 Het systeem herstellen met de software
voor systeemherstel
Uw Targa-pc bevat volledig nieuwe herstelsoftware, waardoor u de pc geleidelijk
kunt herstellen naar een normale werktoestand. Het programma gebruikt ver-
schillende opties voor een verschillende mate van herstel.
• Alleen opstartbestanden herstellen
Hierdoor wordt de opstartsector van de harde schijf hersteld.. Selecteer deze
optie als Windows niet is beschadigd maar als u het niet kunt opstarten vanaf de
harde schijf.
• Systeembestanden herstellen
Met deze optie kunt u alle systeembestanden van uw computer en/of Windows
herstellen. Hierna is Windows geïnstalleerd op de standaard fabrieksconfigu-
ratie en kan opnieuw worden opgestart. Selecteer deze optie als Windows
