Remote access
You can call your answering machine from another telephone to play
messages or execute other functions. A condition for this function is
the use of a phone using the tone dialling function and that REMOTE
ACC." in the main menu is set to ON"; Menu Structure, Page 151.
PIN code for remote access
The default setting of the PIN code is 0000". It is recommended to
change the PIN code to prevent unauthorised persons having simple
access to your answering machine.

Starting remote access
Dial your own telephone number
and wait for the outgoing message
* Press the Star button while the
outgoing message is playing
The Star button must be pressed while the outgoing mes-
sage is being played. Therefore, it is important that the out-
going message is sufficiently long; Recording an outgo-
ing message", Page 143.
Enter the PIN code
The PIN code must be entered directly after pressing the
Star button, do not wait too long.
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly three times, the connec-
tion is interrupted.
After entering the PIN code correctly, an acoustic signal indicates that
you can now enable various optional functions; Table Remote ac-
cess, key function assignment".
