9 Handset Settings

All the programming functions can be a ccessed by means of a user friendly menu. Chapter

11 pr ovides a complete overview of the menu structure. General information is provided

below explaining how to use the menu:

1. Press the

" button to start the programming function.

2. Press the

( or ) but ton to a ccess the required menu.

3. Press the

" button to open the menu selected.

4. Press the

( or ) but ton to select the required function.

5. Press the

" button to confirm the input .

6. Press the

/ button to move one level back.

Note: E very programming process is automatically cancelled if t here i s no input

within 20 seconds.

7. Press the

! button or the / button for 2 seconds to exit from the

programming function at any time without any modifications being adopted.

9.1 Setting the date and time

If two handsets are registered and the date and time are set on one of them, the dat e and

time are automatically updated on the other. Proceed as follows to set the date and t ime:

1. Press the Menu button

" and use the ( or ) button to select the

HANDSET menu. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.

2. Select the

DATE/TIME menu and confirm by pressing the " button.

3. Use the digit keys to enter the current date and t ime.

4. Confirm b y pressing the

" button.

9.2 Display language

The display texts are available in 8 dif ferent languages. The languages available for

selection are: German, English, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Turkish, Russian and French.

1. Press the Menu button

" and use the ( or ) button to select the

HANDSET menu. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.

2. Select the

LANGUAGE menu and confirm with the " button.

3. Select the l anguage r equired. There a re 8 languages

available for selection.

4. Confirm b y pressing the

" button.
