Communities
In het deel Communities kunt u groepen opzetten of zoeken en uw eigen groepen
beheren. U kunt bijvoorbeeld een groep creëren voor al uw trekvrienden en informatie
uitwisselen over uw resultaten, advies geven en bespreken waar en wanneer u samen
op een trektocht gaat. Groepen kunnen open of gesloten zijn. Een gesloten groep is
een groep waarvoor u uw lidmaatschap moet aanvragen en geaccepteerd moet worden
voordat u aan de groepsactiviteiten kunt deelnemen.
Alle groepen hebben een homepage waarop informatie wordt weergegeven over groeps-
evenementen en waarop nieuws, mededelingen en andere informatie worden vermeld.
Groepsleden kunnen ook groepsspecifieke prikborden, discussies en groepskalenders
gebruiken, links toevoegen en groepsactiviteiten organiseren.
Sportforums
SuuntoSports.com heeft een eigen forum voor elke Suunto sport. Alle sportforums
hebben dezelfde basismogelijkheden en functies—sportspecifiek nieuws, prikborden
en chatrooms. Gebruikers kunnen ook voorstellen doen voor links naar aan de sport
gerelateerde sites en tips geven met betrekking tot de sport en uitrusting die vervolgens
op de site kunnen worden gepubliceerd, of hun eigen reisverslagen publiceren.
Sportforums bevatten presentaties van de locaties die met de sport te maken hebben.
Gebruikers kunnen de locaties voorzien van commentaar en de resultaten worden dan
naast de informatie over de locatie gepubliceerd. Er kunnen ook classificatielijsten voor
andere onderwerpen worden gemaakt — bijvoorbeeld, waar is de hoogste top, welke
groep heeft de meeste leden, wie heeft de meeste logs ge-upload enzovoort.
