Nultijdduik Ook: geen-decompressieduik. Iedere duik waarbij de
oppervlakte veilig kan worden bereikt zonder dat een
decompressieprocedure noodzakelijk is, ofwel iede-
re duik waarbij de duiker een vrije opstijging kan ma-
ken.
Nultijd De tijd die de duiker op de huidige diepte rest, voordat
de duik in een decompressieduik verandert (=geen-
decompressietijd).
NO DEC TIME Nultijd of geen-decompressielimiet.
OEA = EAN = EANx
Oxygen Enriched Air Nitrox.
OLF Oxygen Limit Fraction.
Oppervlakte-interval
De tijd tussen het boven komen van een duik en het
te water gaan voor de volgende duik.
OTU Oxygen Tolerance Unit.
Oxygen Tolerance Unit
Maatstaf om zuurstofvergiftiging in het gehele
lichaam te meten.
Oxygen Limit Fraction
Een term die door Suunto wordt gebruikt om de bloot-
stelling aan zuurstof te meten. Dit is een combinatie
van CNS% en OTU%.
O2% Percentage zuurstof in het ademgas. Perslucht heeft
21% zuurstof.
Partiële zuurstofdruk
Beperkt de maximale diepte waarop een Nitrox gas-
mengsel nog veilig gebruikt kan worden. De maxima-
le partiële zuurstofdruk is voor sportduikers 1.4 bar.
Duiken bij een partiële zuurstofdruk van 1.6 bar of
meer brengt een direct risico op zuurstofvergiftiging
met zich mee.
