switch to sleep mode via the Suspend item. Otherwise, GNOME oers you Power
O.... Power O... can also be accessed by holding down the [Alt] button while the
menu is open. If you call it up, a new window oers you the following actions:
Power O Logs you out of the current session, then turns o the computer.
Restart Logs you out of the current session, then restarts the computer.
Hibernate This feature puts your computer into power-saving mode. The PC con-
sumes only a small amount of electricity while in this mode. After you switch on the
PC, your work environment as you had left it becomes available again. In particular,
all documents remain open.
