CASSETTE OPERATION/
DISPLAYS ON CD DISPLAY
Type of Cassettes
Only use high quality cassettes (e.g. IEC TYPE 1) for your recordings. The use of C 120 cassettes in this appliance is
NOT recommended.
Recording Protection
New recordings normally delete old recordings automatically. It is possible to protect recordings from accidental deletion
by pressing in on the latch on the rear of the cassette.
If the cassette is held with the recorded side facing up and the reel facing forward, the latch can be found on the left
hand side of the rear of the cassette.
One can protect all recorded cassettes from accidental deletion in this manner. “Protected” cassettes prevent recording. If
you attempt to begin recording and the button does not allow itself to pressed down, please never attempt to operate
the mechanism using violence or it can become damaged. Check to see if a cassette has been inserted and whether the
latch is still present. If you would like to record on a cassette whose latch has been removed, simply cover the resulting
hole with tape.
