Self Cleaning Function
Warning!
When the self cleaning function is being used, a great deal of hot steam and boiling water will quickly come out of the
steam nozzle in the stainless steel soleplate. To allow the appliance to drain, hold it over a heat resistant container and
avoid all contact with the hot steam/water. Ensure that the steam nozzle is not pointed at people or objects. There is a
serious risk of burns!
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
• Fill the water container to the maximum indicator.
• Set the temperature control to the highest setting.
• Connect the appliance to the power supply.
• Wait until the indicator lights have gone out and the appliance has reached the maximum temperature setting.
• Hold the appliance horizontally over a container intended for the drainage. Set the steam regulator to the highest
setting and press the self cleaning button.
• Lightly move the iron back and forth while draining. Impurities are removed via the escaping steam and boiling
water.
• In the case of heavy soiling, it is recommended that you repeat the process. Before refilling the water container,
unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down.
• After completing the self cleaning process, iron a piece of test fabric to dry the stainless steel soleplate.
• Finally, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
