Basic safety instructions must be observed when using electric appliances. In order to avoid the danger of burns,
electrical shocks, fire and/or personal injury, please read this instruction manually thoroughly prior to using the appliance
and follow all instructions while using this appliance.
Carefully store this instruction manual for later use.
In the case that this appliance is given to another person, please include this instruction manual as well.
• Only plug this appliance into a standardly installed outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cable.
• The voltage given on the label of the appliance must match the voltage of your electrical grid.
• When positioning the electrical cable, make sure that it doesn’t present a trip hazard during use of the appliance.
• Keep the electrical cable away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp edges.
• Never immerse the appliance, electrical cable or plug in water or other liquids. There is a serious risk of
electrocution!
• Never touch the appliance, electrical cable or the plugs with damp or wet hands.
• Always unplug the appliance and let it completely cool down before filling/refilling the water container.
• Only use the appliance on heat resistant surfaces. Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources or open
flame.
• The stainless steel soleplate of the appliance becomes very hot during use and hot steam will come out of the steam
nozzle. Avoid all contact. Make sure that the stainless steel soleplate and the steam nozzle are not pointed at
people or objects on which the appliance is to be used. There is a serious risk of burning!
• Never use the appliance on pieces of clothing located on the body.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is turned on or heated up.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
• Children do not recognize the danger that can result from using electrical appliances. Keep children away from
appliances. Please be especially careful when using appliances if children are present!
• Keep packaging material like plastic bags and styrofoam pieces out of the reach of children. There is a serious risk
of suffocation!
• When you pull on the plug, always pull on the plug and never on the cable.
