Les foyers de la gamme Stûv 16 sont
conçus pour un fonctionnement à porte
fermée exclusivement (sauf lors du
rechargement, cela va de soi!).
Ouvrir la porte et accéder au registre
- Basculer l'abattant [photo 1]: le
registre et les indications pour le
réglage apparaissent; la clenche (à
droite) est accessible
- À l'aide de la main froide, ouvrir la
clenche [photos 2, 3 et 4].
- La plaquette portant le n° de
fabrication apparaît [photo 4].
Manœuvrer le registre
Tenir fermement la main froide en main,
perpendiculairement au foyer et la
déplacer parallèlement à elle-même, dans
un plan horizontal [photo 5].
Précautions à la première utilisation
La peinture n'est pas cuite au four ; elle
est donc relativement fragile mais elle
durcira lors des premières chauffes ; par
conséquent, manipuler l'appareil avec
précaution.
Lors des premiers feux, certains
dégagements de fumée et d'odeurs se
produiront. Ils proviennent de la peinture,
de l’huile de protection des tôles et
du séchage des briques. Nous vous
conseillons de faire un premier feu bien
vigoureux, fenêtres ouvertes, pendant
quelques heures. La peinture aura durci
et les odeurs disparaîtront.

deur ontworpen (uitgezonderd voor het
bijladen natuurlijk!).
Openen van de deur en toegang tot de
schuif
- Kantel de klep [foto 1]: de schuif met
schaalverdeling is zichtbaar; de klink
(rechts) is toegankelijk.
- Open de klink met behulp van de
koude handgreep [foto’s 2, 3 en 4)].
- Het plaatje met het fabricatienummer
verschijnt [foto 4].
Bedienen van de schuif
Houd de koude handgreep stevig vast,
loodrecht op de haard, en verplaats haar
evenwijdig met zichzelf en horizontaal [5].
Voorzorgsmaatregelen bij eerste
gebruik
De verf werd niet in de oven gebakken;
zij is dus vrij kwetsbaar maar zal verhar-
den tijdens de eerste opwarmingen van
de haard; behandel het toestel dan ook
voorzichtig.
Bij het eerste vuur kunnen rookgassen
en geuren vrijkomen. Ze zijn afkomstig
van de verf, de beschermingsolie van de
staalplaat en het drogen van de stenen.
Wij raden u aan een eerste stevig vuur
aan te maken, met open ramen, gedu-
rende enkele uren. De verf zal verhard
zijn en de geuren zullen verdwijnen.

Aprire la porta e accedere al registro
- Ribaltare il piano ribaltabile
[foto 1]: sono visibili il registro e
le indicazioni per la regolazione; la
maniglia è accessibile.
- Con la maniglia “mano fredda”,
aprire la maniglia [foto 2, 3 e 4].
- È visibile la targhetta con il numero di
fabbricazione [foto 4].
Manovrare il registro
Tenere saldamente la maniglia “mano
fredda” perpendicolarmente al focolare e
spostarla parallelamente a sé stessa su un
piano orizzontale [foto 5].
Precauzioni al primo utilizzo
La vernice non è stata sottoposta a trat-
tamenti di cottura, per cui inizialmente
sarà un po’ delicata, ma indurirà nel
corso delle prime accensioni. Per que-
sto motivo, vi invitiamo a maneggiare
il focolare con la massima precauzione.
Quando si accende il fuoco per la prima
volta, si possono sprigionare fumi e odori.
Provengono dalla vernice, dall’olio di pro-
tezione delle lamiere e dall’essiccamento
dei laterizi. Vi consigliamo di accendere
il primo fuoco avviando molto bene la
fiamma, con le finestre aperte, per alcune
ore. Dopo di che la vernice si sarà induri-
ta e gli odori saranno scomparsi.

como las indicaciones para su ajuste;
el pestillo (a la derecha) es de fácil
acceso.
- Con ayuda de la empuñadura de
tacto frío, abra el pestillo [fotos 2, 3 y
4]
- Podrá ver la plaqueta con el número
de identificación 8foto 4)
Maniobras del registro
Mantener firmemente la empuñadura
de tacto frío perpendicular al hogar y
desplazarla horizontalmente en paralelo a
sí misma [foto 5].
Precauciones en la primera utilización
La pintura no está cocida al horno,
así que es relativamente frágil, pero
se irá endureciendo con los primeros
encendidos; en consecuencia, maneje el
aparato con precaución.
Con los primeros encendidos se
desprenderán algunos humos y olores:
provienen de la pintura, del aceite de
protección de las chapas y del secado
de los ladrillos. Le aconsejamos que su
primer fuego sea muy vigoroso, con las
ventanas abiertas, que dure varias horas:
la pintura se endurecerá y los olores
desaparecerán.

designed for use with the door closed
(except of course when refuelling).
Opening the door and accessing the
regulator lever
- tilt the flap [photo 1]: the regulator
lever and the instructions for setting
it can be seen; the latch (on the right)
can be reached
- Using the cold handgrip, open the latch
[photos 2, 3 and 4].
- The plate containing the manufacturer’s
number can be seen [photo 4].

Hold the cold handgrip firmly
perpendicular to the stove and move
sideways [photo 5].
Precautions with first usage
The paint is not oven-baked and it is
therefore relatively fragile but will harden
after it has been heated for the first few
times. Consequently, take care when
using the stove.
When lighting the fire for the first few
times, some smoke or unpleasant odours
may be released from the paint, the
steel’s protective oil or the drying of the
bricks. We recommend that you keep
your first fire burning strongly for several
hours with the windows open. The paint
will harden and the odours will disappear.

funcionarem com a porta fechada (salvo
enquanto está a ser carregado de lenha,
evidentemente !).
Abrir a porta e aceder ao registo
- Incline a tampa [fotografia 1] :
o registo e as indicações para a
regulação aparecem; a tranqueta
(à direita) fica acessível.
- Com a mão atérmica, abra a
tranqueta [fotografias 2, 3 e 4].
- A plaqueta com o n.° de fabrico
aparece [fotografia 4].
Manobrar o registo
Segure bem a mão atérmica com a mão,
perpendicularmente ao recuperador e
desloque-a paralelamente a ela própria,
num plano horizontal [fotografia 5].
Precauções aquando da primeira
utilização
A pintura como não foi submetida
a cozedura no forno, pelo que é
relativamente frágil, contudo, endurecerá
após os primeiros aquecimentos.
Consequentemente, manipule o aparelho
com precaução durante a instalação.
Aquando dos primeiros fogos, libertam-
se fumos e cheiros que provêm da tinta,
do óleo de protecção das chapas e da
secagem dos tijolos. Aconselhamo-lo a
acender um fogo muito vigoroso, janelas
abertas, durante algumas horas. A pintura
endurecerá e os cheiros desaparecerão.
