N Line up the gauge rod (1) with the

tip of a blade tooth (2).

N Rotate the cutting attachment, if the

gauge rod knocks against the tip of

the blade, readjust the gauge rod.

N Continue rotating the cutting

attachment and find the tooth that is

the only one to touch the gauge rod.

N Use a feeler gauge to measure the

distance between the other teeth

and the gauge rod.

Depending on the type of cutting

attachment, different maximum limits

apply for axial out-of-balance:

Testing radial out-of-balance

Radial out-of-balance is tested with a

magnetic test weight.

N Use a sharp knife to cut the test

weights along the stamped lines.

The test weight is attached to one blade

tooth at a given distance "R" – see the

following table.
