This document contains instructions for connecting TruLink
Programmer into your laptop or desktop PC via a USB
connection. TruLink Programmer requires that Inspire
®
2014.2
fitting software or higher is installed.
DESCRIPTION
TruLink Programmer is a USB hearing aid programmer
functioning as the interface between wireless hearing aids and
computer fitting software. It consists of a USB docking station
and TruLink programmer dongle.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Screen may vary depending on the Windows
®
version.
1. Confirm that Inspire 2014.2 or higher is installed.
(TruLink Programmer is not supported on earlier
versions of Inspire fitting software.)
2. Insert the USB cable of the docking station into an
open USB port on your PC.
NOTE: It is strongly recommended to use the
programmer as it is assembled (dongle plus USB
docking station). Plugging the dongle directly into the
computer is not recommended.

3. TruLink Programmer is designed to be “plug and play”
and does not require a CD or a restart of the PC. Device
drivers will install automatically.
OPERATION
Once installed, TruLink Programmer is ready to use.
To use:
1. Verify TruLink Programmer is connected to the PC
2. Launch Inspire 2014.2 or higher
3. Search for TruLink Programmer, if needed, by following
the steps below:
- Select Tools
- Select Programmers
- Click Search
- Select TruLink Programmer to program the
hearing aids

TruLink Programmer for the first time.

precautions and/or on the device label.
Within Europe, dispose of TruLink Programmer
according to local EU WEEE regulations.

Avoid using TruLink Programmer in areas subject to
the following conditions:
• Extreme heat or cold
• Static electricity
• Large amounts of dust
• Rough handling
Rough handling or dropping TruLink Programmer can
cause damage. If you think you may have damaged TruLink
Programmer, or if TruLink Programmer is suffering an obvious
malfunction, immediately unplug it from your computer and
contact your authorized dealer to request servicing.

DO NOT continue to use a damaged TruLink Programmer.
DO NOT place heavy objects on top of TruLink Programmer.
Never insert foreign objects into the connections.
Avoid spilling liquid on TruLink Programmer.
The exterior of TruLink Programmer may be wiped with a damp
cloth or sterile hand wipe. Never use paint thinner, benzene,
cosmetics or other volatile agents to clean the exterior of
TruLink Programmer.
Never try to take apart or modify TruLink Programmer. Doing
so creates the danger of fire and electrical shock, as well as
TruLink Programmer malfunction. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside TruLink Programmer. All services must be
performed by the authorized dealer.
