SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

INTENDED USE

The espresso machine Emilia is suitable for brewing coffee, espresso, cappuc-

cino and latte macchiato and for preparing hot beverages with water or milk as

well.

Before first use, please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it in a

safe place.

• This device can be operated by

children age 8 or older and by

individuals with reduced physical,

sensory and mental abilities or lack

of experience and/or knowledge

if they are supervised or have

been given instruction concerning

proper use of the appliance and

understand possible dangers.

• This device is not a toy. Cleaning

and maintenance of the device

must only be performed by child-

ren age 8 or older when they are

supervised.

• Children must not play with the

device.

• The device and its connection

cable must be kept out of reach of

children under the age of 8.

• Before removing or plugging in the

power plug, turn all switches of the

espresso machine to “

OFF”.

• Do not touch any hot surfaces

of the espresso machine such as

steam tube or portafilter while the

machine is running.

Always use

knobs and switches.

• Never leave the espresso machine

unattended while it is switched on,

especially when children or indivi-

duals with reduced physical, senso-

ry or mental abilities are around.

• You need to make sure that your

power supply complies with the

details listed on the espresso ma-

chine’s type plate.

• Only connect the power plug to a

grounded outlet.

• Remove the power plug from the

socket if you are not using the

espresso machine.

Do not pull the

power cord because it could get

damaged.

• Let the espresso machine cool

down completely before cleaning

or attaching accessory parts.
