8. MISSION CONTROL
The Specialized Mission Control App enables you to further enhance your ride experience by customizing your
VADO SL to your personal needs.
Most importantly, it allows you to customize motor characteristics, control range, diagnose the system, record rides,
and see real-time ride data.
8.1. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL MISSION CONTROL
To download the App, go to the App Store (iOS devices) or the Google Play Store (Android devices), search for
“Specialized Mission Control,” and then install the application. After registering you can connect to your bicycle.
8.2. PAIRING YOUR BICYCLE WITH MISSION CONTROL
When connecting to the Mission Control App for the first time, you need to enter the BLE pairing code that comes
with your VADO SL on the TCU and on the removable yellow sticker. It serves as a security measure, since it ensures
that only you as bicycle owner, or entrusted people you share the code with, are able to connect to the bicycle.
In the Mission Control App settings, select MY BIKES and then (+) ADD PEDAL ASSIST BIKE. Select the bicycle
or serial number that matches the bicycle you are pairing to. The bicycle serial number can be found on the frame
or on the removable yellow sticker.
The App will prompt you to enter a six-digit pairing code. This code is located on the removable yellow peel
sticker (Fig. 4.1), as well as on the underside of the TCU on the top tube (Fig. 8.1).
A connection with your bicycle only needs to be established via the Mission Control App once.

  • I have a VADO SL 4.0, I am seeing a flashing message on the computer screen that says

  • I live in AZ and I'm concerned about the summer heat in the garage and how it might effect the battery since the battery is not removable. Storing the bike is not an option, unfortunately. Submitted on 19-4-2022 at 18:59
