TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault Probable cause Corrective action
The core bit jams. Accumulation of dust between the core
bit and the material being cut (dry drilling)
Switch off the machine. Using a spanner
turn the core bit back and forth until it
is free.
Insufcient water feed (wet drilling) Increase water feed.
Damaged (bent) core bit Check and replace the core bit.
Core bit does not cut or cuts
slowly
Inappropriate speed Reduce pressure. Select appropriate
speed.
Insufcient water pressure (wet drilling) Increase water feed.
Very hard material (dry drilling) Proceed with wet drilling.
Cutting reinforcing bars (wet drilling) Proceed drilling slowly until the core bit
cuts through the reinforcing bars.
Dull core bit segments Sharpen the core bit segments.
Core bit wears too quickly Inappropriate speed Check and switch to higher speed (for
soft material) or lower speed (for hard
material).
Too much pressure exerted during
operation
Reduce pressure.
Insufcient water feed (wet drilling) Increase water feed.
Highly abrasive or reinforced material
(wet drilling)
Use core bit appropriate for the material.
Material does not fall out of
the core bit
Dust compaction during operation or
jammed pieces of material
Remove the core bit from the machine.
Push out the jammed material via the
core bit shank with appropriate stick.
Never hit the core bit with metal objects!
Material has expanded due to heating
during core drilling
Wait for the material to cool and then
remove it.
Warranty
The guarantee period for SPARKY power tools is
determined in the guarantee card.
Faults due to normal wear, overloading or improper
handling will be excluded from the guarantee.
Faults due to defective materials implemented as well as
defects in workmanship will be corrected free of charge
through replacement or repair.
The complaints for defective SPARKY power tools will
be recognized if the machine is sent back to the dealer
or is presented to the authorised warranty service centre
undismantled, in its initial condition.
