6. SETTING THE CLOCK
The internal clock operates in 24-hour mode.
The clock may be set when the system is playing or when in standby mode.
To set the clock:
1). Press and hold the CLOCK button on the remote control until the LCD display briefly shows
‘Clock Set’ with the hour digits flashing.
2). Whilst the hour digits are flashing press the
or buttons to set the hour.
3). To set minutes press the CLOCK button again, now press the
or buttons to set the minute
digits. After a brief time the LCD display returns to the previously selected mode.
Note: The clock time settings will be lost when the system is switched off with the POWER ON/OFF
switch, or when the mains plug is removed.
Setting the sleep function
The Sleep function when set will automatically switch your system off after a preset time.
A range of sleep preset times are available from 90 minutes down to 10 minutes in 10 minute
intervals.
To view the preset times:
1). Repeatedly press the SLEEP button on the remote control to cycle through the range:
90>80>70>60>50>40>30>20>10 minutes, the LCD display then returns to the previously
selected mode.
To set a sleep preset time for 40 minutes:
1). Press the SLEEP button six times, the LCD display briefly shows ‘Sleep Time’and‘40 minutes’.
The system will now automatically turn off after 40 minutes.
To view the set sleep time remaining:
1). Press the SLEEP button once, the LCD display shows the time remaining.
To cancel the sleep function:
1). Repeatedly press the SLEEP button until the SLEEP indicator disappears from the display.
Setting the timer function
The timer, when set, will automatically switch your System ‘on’ from standby then and ‘off’ at
pre-selected times.
The timer function may be set when the system is playing or when in standby mode.
Before setting the timer make sure the clock is set to the correct time of day.
Tune in to a radio station or place a CD in the system. When the system is switched on by the timer
the radio or CD will then play.
To set the timer on and off times:
1). Press and hold the TIMER button on the remote control until the LCD display briefly shows either
a previously set timer setting or ‘Timer On Set 12:00’with the hour digits flashing.
2). To set the timer ‘on’ time, whilst the hour digits are flashing press the
or buttons to set the
hour.
3). To set minutes press the TIMER button again, now press the
or buttons to set the minute
digits.
4). To set the ‘off ’time press the TIMER button again, the LCD display will show ‘Set Off Timer’ with
the hour digits flashing. Follow the same procedure in steps 2 and 3 above to set the timer ‘off’
time. After a brief time the LCD display returns to the previously selected mode.
5). To activate the timer so that your Radio System will switch on at the set time, press the
STANDBY button to put the unit in to standby mode.
To check your timer setting:
1. Press and hold the TIMER button until the LCD display shows ‘Timer On Set’.
2. To show your previously set times repeatedly press the TIMER button to skip through your ‘on’
and ‘off ’ times.
To disable a timer setting:
1. Press the TIMER button briefly until the LCD display shows ‘Timer Function Disabled’.
After a brief time the LCD display returns to the previously selected mode, the timer is now
disabled.
To enable a timer setting:
1. Press the TIMER button briefly until the LCD display shows ‘Timer Function Enabled’.
After a brief time the LCD display returns to the previously selected mode, the timer is now
enabled.
