To set up a wired LAN network
is section explains how to set up the
unit for a wired LAN network or a wireless
LAN network connected through the
NETWORK port on the unit.

Enter the Setup menu and select [Network].

Select [LAN] – [Wired].

Select [Wired LAN setting].
“Checking Network setting.” appears in
the display, and then the wired LAN setup
display appears.
: This item does not need to be set.
: This item must be set. Go to step 4.

Select [Address setting].

Conrm that [Ethernet speed] is set to
[Automatic].
Tip
If the unit has diculty connecting to the
broadband router or a hub, selecting [100
Mbps] or [10 Mbps] sometimes solves the
problem.

Conrm that [DHCP] is set to [All auto].
e IP address will be obtained
automatically.
You may need to enter the IP address
manually, depending on your Internet service
provider. Refer to “To set the IP address
manually” for details.

Select [Apply].
e setting is updated.

Select [Close].
e display returns to the network setting
display.
To set the IP address manually

Select [DNS manual] or [All manual] in step 6
above.
You need to set the items marked with .

Select the item to be set.

Locate the cursor over the parameter, and
press
/
to enter each digit.
Tip
When you want to restore a previous setting, select
[Undo] before doing step 7 of “To set up a wired
LAN network”.
To set up a proxy server
is procedure must be done if the Internet service
provider species a proxy setting. If not, you may
skip this procedure.

Select [Proxy setting] in the wired LAN setup
display.

Change the [To Internet] setting to
[Connection via proxy].

Enter the address for [Proxy server] and
number for [Port].

Select [Close].
