Wat is een “Memory Stick”?
“Memory Stick” is een compact, draagbaar en ruim toepasbaar opnamemedium met een
geïntegreerd circuit met een geheugencapaciteit die een diskette overtreft. “Memory Stick” is
speciaal ontworpen voor de uitwisseling en gezamenlijk gebruik van gegevens van producten
die compatibel met “Memory Stick” zijn. Daar het verwijderd kan worden, is “Memory Stick”
ook geschikt om externe gegevens mee op te slaan.
“Memory Stick” is beschikbaar in twee maten: de standaard maat en de compacte “Memory
Stick Duo” maat. Na aansluiting op een Memory Stick Duo adapter neemt het dezelfde maat als
de standaard “Memory Stick” aan en kan derhalve met producten die de standaard “Memory
Stick” ondersteunen functioneren.
Soorten “Memory Stick”
De volgende drie types “Memory Stick” zijn verkrijgbaar om aan verschillende functie-eisen te
voldoen:
• “Memory Stick”
Slaat alle soorten gegevens op behalve auteursrechtelijk beschermde gegevens waarvoor de
MagicGate technologie voor auteursrechtbescherming vereist is.
• “MagicGate Memory Stick”
Uitgerust met de MagicGate technologie voor auteursrechtbescherming.
• “Memory Stick-ROM”
Slaat vooraf opgenomen read-only gegevens op. U kunt niet op de “Memory Stick-ROM”
opnemen noch de vooraf opgenomen gegevens ervan wissen.
“Memory Stick” types die compatibel zijn met het toestel
U kunt drie types “Memory Stick” bij uw TV gebruiken: de algemene “Memory Stick”, de
“MagicGate Memory Stick” en de “Memory Stick-ROM” . Maar omdat uw TV de MagicGate
standaarden niet ondersteunt zijn door uw TV weergegeven gegevens niet onderworpen aan de
MagicGate auteursrechtbescherming.
Opmerkingen omtrent de Memory Stick Duo
Sluit om deze “Memory Stick Duo” bij dit toestel te gebruiken deze op de Memory Stick Duo
adapter aan voordat u deze in het toestel insteekt.
Denk bij het aansluiten van de “Memory Stick Duo” op de adapter aan de juiste richting.
Denk bij het insteken van de Memory Stick Duo adapter aan de juiste richting, anders kan het
toestel gevaar lopen.
Steek de Memory Stick Duo adapter niet in zonder dat de “Memory Stick Duo” aangesloten is.
Dit zou tot een slechte werking van het toestel kunnen leiden.
