Notes on using your c amcor der
It is recommended to f ormat the memory card with the
camcor der before the first use.
Confirm the direction of the memory car d. If you for cibly insert
the memory card in the wr ong direction, the memor y car d,
memory card slot, or cont ents data may be damaged.
Compensation for the cont ents of recor dings cannot be
provided, even if re cording or playback is not possible due t o a
malfunction of the camcor der , r ecording media, etc.
During periods of extended re cording, the tempera ture of
the camcor der may rise to a point where r ecording stops
automatically . With the power is turned off , leave the camcorder
for 10 minutes or longer to allow the t emperature inside t o
decrease t o a safe level.
Under high ambient temperatur es, the temper ature of the
camcor der rises quickly .

NFC: Near Field Communication
When the temperatur e of the camcorder rises, the image
quality may deterior ate. It is rec ommended that you wait until
the temper ature of the camcor der drops befor e continuing to
reco rd.
The sur f ace of the camcor der may get hot. This is not a
malfunction.
Playback of contents rec orded with other devic es, is not as sured
on the camcor der .
Use the nearby wall outlet (wall socke t) when using the AC-
UD10 AC Adapt or (sold separately). Disconnect the A C Adaptor
from the wall outle t (wall socket) immediat ely if any malfunction
occurs while using the appar atus.
MP4 movies recor ded with [Audio Format] set t o [Linear
PCM] canno t be played back on some equipment or ser vic es,
including Blu-ray Disc players (including Sony pr oducts). For
