Voorkomen van condensvorming
Voordat u de camcorder van een koude
omgeving naar een warme plaats brengt, verpakt
u het apparaat eerst in een plastic zak die u goed
(luchtdicht) afsluit. Neem de camcorder pas uit
de plastic zak, wanneer de lucht daarin en het
apparaat dezelfde temperatuur hebben
aangenomen als de omringende warme lucht (na
ongeveer een uur).
Onderhoud
Reinigen van de videokoppen
Maak de videokoppen regelmatig schoon, om te
zorgen dat het beeld storingsvrij blijft en dat het
opnemen goed verloopt. Waarschijnlijk zijn de
koppen vuil, wanneer:
•er een mozaïekpatroon in het weergegeven
beeld verschijnt;
•de weergegeven beelden niet bewegen;
•er helemaal geen beeld meer verschijnt;
•de x indicator en de mededeling
“ CLEANING CASSETTE” beurtelings
verschijnen, of de x indicator knippert op het
scherm.
Als een van de bovenstaande verschijnselen of de
storing van [a], [b] of [c] zich voordoet, maakt u
de videokoppen dan 10 seconden lang schoon
met een Sony DVM-12CLD videokoppen-
reinigingscassette (niet bijgeleverd). Controleer
de beelden en als er nog steeds problemen zijn,
reinig de koppen dan nogmaals.
Als de videokoppen sterk vervuild zijn, wordt
het hele scherm blauw [c].
Slijtage van de videokoppen
Na langdurig gebruik kunnen de videokoppen
versleten zijn.
Als u ook na grondig schoonmaken van de
koppen nog geen duidelijk beeld verkrijgt, kan
dat te wijten zijn aan slijtage van de koppen.
Raadpleeg dan uw Sony handelaar of een
plaatselijke bevoegde Sony onderhoudsdienst,
om de videokoppen te laten vervangen.
Schoonmaken van het LCD scherm
Als het LCD scherm vuil is, door vettig stof of
vingerafdrukken, kunt u het schoonmaken met
een speciale LCD reinigingsset (los verkrijgbaar).

When you bring your camcorder from a cold
place into a warm place, put your camcorder in a
plastic bag and tightly seal it. Remove the bag
when the air temperature inside the plastic bag
has reached the surrounding temperature (after
about one hour).
Maintenance information
Cleaning the video heads
To ensure normal recording and clear pictures,
clean the video heads. The video heads may be
dirty when:
•Mosaic-pattern noise appears on the playback
picture.
•Playback pictures do not move.
•Playback pictures do not appear.
•The x indicator and “ CLEANING
CASSETTE” message appear one after another
or the x indicator flashes on the screen.
If the above problem [a], [b] or [c] occurs, clean
the video heads for 10 seconds with the Sony
DVM-12CLD cleaning cassette (optional). Check
the picture and if the above problem persists,
repeat cleaning.
If the video heads get dirtier, the entire screen
becomes blue [c].
Note on the video head
The video head suffers from wear after long use.
If you cannot obtain a clear image even after
using a cleaning cassette, it might be because the
video head is worn. Please contact your Sony
dealer or local authorised Sony service facility to
have the video head replaced.
Cleaning the LCD screen
If fingerprints or dust make the LCD screen dirty,
we recommend using the LCD Cleaning Kit
(optional) to clean the LCD screen.
