Super Audio CD
Ten format zapisu dźwięku jest oparty na
dotychczasowych standardach płyt audio
CD, ale zawiera większą ilość informacji,
przez co umożliwia uzyskanie dźwięku
wyższej jakości. Istnieją trzy rodzaje płyt:
jednowarstwowe, dwuwarstwowe i
hybrydowe. Płyta hybrydowa zawiera
informacje zapisane zarówno w standardzie
audio CD, jak i Super Audio CD.
Tytuł
Najdłuższe fragmenty obrazu lub muzyki na
płycie DVD, film itp. w przypadku płyty z
materiałem wideo lub cały album w
przypadku płyty z materiałem audio.
Utwór
Fragment filmu lub utworu muzycznego na
płytach Super Audio CD, CD, VIDEO CD
lub MP3. Album składa się z kilku utworów
(tylko dla formatu MP3).
VIDEO CD
Płyta kompaktowa zawierająca zapis
ruchomych obrazów.
Do zapisu danych obrazu stosowany jest
format MPEG 1, jeden z ogólnoświatowych
standardów technologii kompresji cyfrowej.
Dane obrazu są skompresowane do około 1/
140 pierwotnego rozmiaru. Dzięki temu,
płyta VIDEO CD o średnicy 12 cm może
zawierać do 74 minut ruchomych obrazów.
Płyty VIDEO CD zawierają także zapis
dźwięku. Dźwięki spoza zakresu słyszalnego
przez człowieka są skompresowane, podczas
gdy dźwięki słyszalne są zapisywane bez
kompresji. Płyty VIDEO CD mogą
pomieścić 6 razy więcej informacji audio niż
konwencjonalne płyty audio CD.
Istnieją dwie wersje płyt VIDEO CD.
• Wersja 1.1: Można odtwarzać jedynie
ruchome obrazy i dźwięki.
• Wersja 2.0: Można odtwarzać nieruchome
obrazy wysokiej rozdzielczości oraz
korzystać z funkcji PBC.
To urządzenie jest zgodne z obiema
wersjami.
