*1 The information of a CD TEXT, MP3/WMA is
displayed.
*2 Album number is displayed only when the album is
changed.
To change display items, press (DSPL).
Tip
Displayed items will differ, depending on the disc type,
recording format and settings. For details on MP3/
WMA, see page 15.
Repeat and shuffle play
1 During playback, press (3) (REP) or
(4) (SHUF) repeatedly until the
desired setting appears.
* When an MP3/WMA is played.
To return to normal play mode, select “ OFF”
or “SHUF OFF.”
Security function
Using the security alarm
If you set the security alarm, this unit will detect
any vibration/sound to your car and a loud alarm
will sound. (For example, when an unauthorized
person attempts to open the door, etc.)
Setting the security alarm
1 Press and hold the select button.
The setup display appears.
2 Press the select button repeatedly
until “S.SET” appears.
3 Rotate the control dial to select “ON.”
4 Press and hold the select button.
The setup is complete and the display returns
to normal play/reception mode.
Activating the security alarm
function
Turn the security alarm setting to “ON”
beforehand.
1 Set the car ignition switch to the OFF
position, then detach the front panel.
This unit enters the Security STANDBY
mode and the security LED (yellow) blinks.
During the Security STANDBY mode, this unit
does not sound the alarm even if it detects a
vibration. Meanwhile, get out of the car and
unload luggage, etc. This unit will enter the
Security mode in 1 minute (default setting).
Tip
If you do not have the front panel, the security alarm
function can be activated by setting the car ignition
switch to the OFF position.
When the unit is entered in the Security
mode, the unit works as follows:
• If “S.LED” is set to “ON,” the security LEDs
(yellow and red) blink alternately (Security
mode).
• If the sensor detects any vibration of your car,
the security LEDs (yellow and red) blink at the
same time, and a small alarm beeps (Small
Alarm mode).
If no vibration is detected for 10 seconds after the
first time, the unit returns to the Security mode.
