117Instalación de la unidad en el ordenador
Ajuste de los puentes
Ajuste los puentes situados en la parte posterior de la unidad de
acuer do a la configuración del sistema del or denador .
Los puentes vienen definidos de fábrica de f orma predeterminada en
la posición “MASTER”, según se m uestra en la ilustración.

Notas para la configuración de puentes:
• La asignación del número de unidad se define normalmente
insertando un pin de puente en el pin MASTER o en el pin
SLAVE.
• Si la CDU701 está conectada en cascada con una unidad de disco
duro en una tarjeta IDE, defina la unidad de disco duro como
MASTER y la CDU701 como SLAVE.
• Si la CDU701 es el único dispositivo conectado a la tarjeta IDE,
defina la CDU701 como MASTER.
No obstante , debe obser var se que algunos or denadores per sonales
pueden utilizar CSEL en lugar de la mencionada selección MAS-
TER/SLA VE. En este caso, retire los puentes e xistentes del MAS-
TER y SLA VE y estab lezca un puente en CSEL. Cuando la señal
CSEL del conector de interfaz está definida en un v alor bajo, la
unidad se especifica como Unidad 0. Cuando el v alor de CSEL es
ele v ado, la unidad se designa como Unidad 1.
Consulte con el fabricante del PC, de la tarjeta IDE o con su
distrib uidor para obtener inf ormación detallada.
