Precautions
Camcorder operation
Operate the camcorder on 7.2 V (battery pack)
or 8.4 V/6.5 V (AC power adaptor).
Should any solid object or liquid get inside the
casing, unplug the camcorder and have it
checked by Sony dealer before operating it any
further.
Avoid rough handling or mechanical shock. Be
particularly careful of the lens.
Keep the POWER switch set to OFF when not
using the camcorder.
Do not wrap up the camcorder and operate it
since heat may build up internally.
Keep the camcorder away from strong
magnetic fields or mechanical vibration.
•Do not push the LCD screen.
If the camcorder is used in a cold place, a
residual image may appear on the LCD screen.
This is not a malfunction.
While using the camcorder, the back of the LCD
screen may heat up. This is not a malfunction.
On handling tapes
Do not insert anything in the small holes on the
rear of the cassette. These holes are used to sense
the type of tape, thickness of tape and if the
recording tab is in or out.
Camcorder care
When the camcorder is not to be used for a long
time, disconnect the power source and remove
the tape. Periodically turn on the power,
operate the camera and player sections and
play back a tape for about 3 minutes.
Clean the lens with a soft brush to remove dust.
If there are fingerprints on the lens, remove
them with a soft cloth.
If fingerprints or dust are on the LCD screen,
we recommend you remove them using the
LCD cleaning kit (not supplied).
Clean the camcorder body with a dry soft cloth,
or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of
solvent which may damage the finish.

Funcionamiento de la videocámara
Maneje la videocámara a 7,2 V (paquete de
baterías) o 8,4 V/6,5 V (adaptador de
alimentación de CA).
Si entra algún objeto sólido o líquido al interior
de la videocámara, desenchúfela y llévela al
proveedor Sony para su comprobación antes de
manejarla otra vez.
Evite el manejo descuidado y los golpes
mecánicos. Tenga especial cuidado con el
objetivo.
Mantenga el interruptor POWER ajustado en
OFF cuando no utilice la videocámara.
No envuelva la videocámara para usarla,
puesto que puede acumularse calor
internamente.
Mantenga la videocámara alejada de campos
magnéticos fuertes o vibraciones mecánicas.
No presione la pantalla LCD.
Si la videocámara se usa en lugares fríos, puede
aparecer una imagen residual en la pantalla
LCD. No se trata de un mal funcionamiento.
La parte trasera de la pantalla LCD puede
calentarse mientras se usa la videocámara. No
se trata de un mal funcionamiento.
Manejo de cintas
No inserte nada en los pequeños orificios
situados en la parte trasera del videocassette.
Estos orificios sirven para identificar el tipo de
cinta, su grosor y si la lengüeta de grabación está
fuera o dentro.
Cuidados de la videocámara
Si no va a usar la videocámara durante un largo
período, desconecte la fuente de alimentación y
retire la cinta. Encienda el aparato
periódicamente, ponga en funcionamiento las
secciones de cámara y reproductor y
reproduzca una cinta durante unos 3 minutos.
Limpie el objetivo con un cepillo suave para
retirar el polvo. Si hay huellas dactilares en el
objetivo, límpielas con un trapo suave.
Si hay huellas dactilares o polvo en la pantalla
LCD, es recomendable retirarlos con el kit de
limpieza LCD (no suministrado).
Limpie el cuerpo de la videocámara con un
trapo suave y seco o un trapo ligeramente
humedecido con un detergente suave. No
utilice ningún tipo de disolvente que pueda
dañar el acabado.
